Pursuant to Memorandum No. 04-UL, Series of 2026, the 𝗡𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 within the University Library shall be strictly enforced for all library users and visitors.

This measure is implemented in response to the increasing instances of library users consuming food and beverages inside library sections, including prayer rooms, despite the presence of posted reminders. It has also been observed that some users leave trash on tables and fail to clean their areas after use.

Furthermore, the use of 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲-𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 in accordance with BOR Resolution No. 18, Series of 2024, otherwise known as the 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲-𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 of Mindanao State University. In support of this initiative, all library users, visitors, and employees are strongly encouraged to bring and use reusable tumblers.

We sincerely hope for your cooperation, support, and understanding in the implementation of this policy, as it aims to maintain a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for everyone.

On February 16, 2026 (Monday), With pride and joy, 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐀 celebrates the appointment of Dr. Hasmin Mimbala Abdulhalim as the newly designated Director of the University Library of Mindanao State University – Main Campus (under Special Order No. 119-OP, Series of 2026).

As a dedicated registered librarian and esteemed professor of the Department of Library and Information Science under the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ma’am Has continues to lead with competence, integrity, and heart.

Assalamu 'Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

“Those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way by night and by day, secretly and publicly—they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.” (𝗔𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝗾𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝟮:𝟮𝟳𝟰)

Ramadhan is a blessed month of mercy, reflection, and generosity. As we fast and renew our faith, let us remember those in need—those who struggle to prepare iftar and those whose Ramadhan becomes lighter through the kindness of others.

The 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 ﷺ said:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ:
"مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْئًا"

“Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person.” (𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗵𝗶)
