CBAA–Management Department Launches
Career Readiness and Employability Skills Program at MCNHS

The Department of Management, College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) successfully launched its Extension Service Program on Career Readiness and Employability Skills for Senior High School Students on December 10–11, 2025 at Marawi City National High School (MCNHS).

Organized by Dr. Sonayah D. Guimba, Program Coordinator of the MBA in HRM and OLM and Department Extension Focal Person, the two-day lecture and workshop focused on preparing students for future work and career decisions.

Day 1 covered career readiness, career mapping using MBTI, the world of work, and workplace ethics.
Day 2 highlighted communication and interpersonal skills, job application skills, and soft skills for employability.
The launching was attended by MCNHS officials and teachers led by Principal Dr. Paramata M. Bantuas, with the support of Marawi City Division HRDO Dr. Asliah M. Maniri, and CBAA Management faculty headed by Department Chairperson Dr. Hanafe L. Abdulmalik.

🎤 Faculty Resource Speakers:
Dr. Sonayah D. Guimba, Prof. Fatima Zahra W. Manaol, Dr. Hanafe L. Abdulmalik, Dr. Alifahmie A. Magolama, Prof. Lizamae E. Macabuat-Ampuan, and Prof. Mirnife L. Macopa-Guro

This initiative will run as a five-month mentoring program aimed at strengthening students’ employability, career clarity, and workplace readiness. Special thanks to the Junior Executive Club (JEC) officers and student volunteers for their support during the activity.

The program aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and supports the CBAA Research and Extension Roadmap on human capital development and employability enhancement.
The successful launching marks the beginning of sustained mentoring and meaningful university–school collaboration.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝟭𝟮𝗧𝗛 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Day 1 in Action at the 12th Young Executive Business Management Convention unfolds with powerful conversations on leadership, governance, and strategic excellence. The morning session successfully set an inspiring and rigorous academic tone for the entire convention.

The day is highlighted by the presence of Atty. Paisalin P. D. Tago, CPA, President of the Mindanao State University System, who joins the convention as the Guest Speaker, sharing insights on visionary leadership in higher education.

Setting the tone for the convention is the Keynote Speaker, Atty. Alizedney M. Ditucalan, JD, LLM, Chancellor of MSU–Iligan Institute of Technology. The presentation highlights that while ideas are now affordable, action is rare, challenging young executives to embrace the three-word framework: Dream. Dare. Do.. This framework calls for dreaming of businesses that are purposeful, not just profitable, and that serve, not just sell. The "Dare" stage requires them to ask questions, take calculated risks, and persist against failure. Ultimately, the goal is "Do," where ex*****on and building prototypes lead to real impact, transforming an "idea lang" into "impact talaga". The presentation also encourages a "Ninja" Future Economy mindset that blends technology with empathy to build ecosystems and advocates for a new business model that partners profit with responsibility, integrating sustainability into its core.

Further enriching the discussions is the Resource Speaker, Hon. Rolan Abdul Rashid “Fiat” A. Macarambon, former Assemblyman and current General Manager of Camelot Construction, who brings practical perspectives on public service, entrepreneurship, and leadership in the private sector.

Together, these distinguished leaders make Day 1 a dynamic and inspiring start to the 12th YEBMC, empowering future executives to lead with purpose, integrity, and impact.

Earlier, the 12th YEBMC outreach committee successfully conducted its impactful outreach initiative, the 𝘽𝙪𝙠𝙡𝙤𝙙-𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙠: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, in collaboration with the 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙤, 𝘽𝙧𝙜𝙮. 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣, and the 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙈𝙎𝙎𝘿).

The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address from 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿, 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗱𝗮, setting the tone for a meaningful day of community engagement.
A key highlight was the presence of 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗮𝗴, 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗼, who delivered an inspiring Message. The program proceeded with a highly engaging Lecture from 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗦. 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗴 , 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗘𝗕𝗠𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The morning featured giving of Plaque of Appreciation and the Releasing of Tokens for Participants, reinforcing YEBMC's commitment to social responsibility and participatory service, marking a successful step in advancing sustainable and inclusive community development.

As part of the weeklong celebration of the Management Department’s 39th Founding Anniversary, the JEC Ball 2025 stood as its culminating highlight, an evening where time seemed to pause, allowing every moment to unfold with grace and meaning.

Held on November 30, 2025, at Ayala Resort Inc., the night began with the Emerald Arrival, as guests stepped into a space filled with elegance and anticipation. The Grand Processional followed, setting the tone for a dignified and unforgettable gathering.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐋. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤, Chairperson of the Management Department, opened the evening with heartfelt Welcome Remarks, reflecting on the department’s journey, milestones, and the collective spirit that shaped another remarkable year. Messages from batch representatives echoed this pride, strengthening the sense of unity across generations.

The program continued with the DAKILA Mainstage Performance, a showcase of artistry and discipline that elevated the cultural spirit of the evening. The JEC Days Victor’s Showcase followed, honoring the excellence and dedication of students who stood out during the week’s festivities.

Guests then shared in the Emerald Banquet, accompanied by live music that fostered warmth and connection. The Wicked Honors and Recognition Ceremony formally acknowledged individuals and groups whose contributions left a lasting impact on the department’s legacy.

Moments of joy and camaraderie filled the air during the Enchanted Games and Audience Sorcery, leading into the soulful melodies of the Emerald Encore live band, which carried the evening into a space of nostalgia and celebration.

As the night drew to a close, the Final Photos and Farewell Walk captured the essence of the celebration: gratitude, pride, and the quiet joy of shared accomplishment.

More than just a formal event, JEC Ball 2025 became a living memory, an elegant culmination of a week filled with purpose, pride, and the enduring spirit of the Management Department.
