Joining her during the event was Ms. Joyce Noveras, ICT Director of WU-P Aurora.

During the activity, CHED Regional Office III emphasized the importance of timely and accurate submission of higher education data, covering both semesters within the same academic year to ensure reliable records for planning and policy development. Regional Director Maura Consolacion D. Cristobal also reminded institutions of the requirement to secure prior CHED approval for summer subjects not included in their recognized curriculum offerings. The first year of Dr. Ferdinand Escobar Romano as School Administrator marked a period of remarkable growth, innovation, and institutional advancement for Wesleyan Universityโ€“Philippines, Aurora Campus. Under his leadership, the campus experienced significant developments in academic, spiritual, community, and student-centered programs that strengthened the University's commitment to excellence. His administration was characterized by proactive engagement with stakeholders, strategic partnerships, and the successful implementation of several initiatives that elevated the profile of the institution within the province and beyond.

Among the notable milestones during his tenure was the successful conduct of major academic and institutional events, including the 63rd Founding Anniversary of the University, 22nd Commencement Exercises, Baccalaureate Service, and various student development activities that showcased the talents and achievements of the learners. Dr. Romano also spearheaded the strengthening of external linkages through engagements with local government units, provincial offices, and community organizations, opening opportunities for collaborative programs in education, social welfare, and community development. These initiatives contribute significantly to enhancing the University's visibility and relevance in addressing local and regional needs and in various academic exercises.

A hallmark of his administration was the introduction of several first-time implementations in the campus. Duly approved by the University President, foremost among these were:
โ€ข Offering of various Graduate School programs that produced numerous graduates from Aurora and neighboring provinces and resulted to producing graduates of different degrees,
โ€ข Purchase of new monoblock chairs commensurate to the number of students enrolled and exceeding for use during a single event per department,
โ€ข Purchase of new sound system (the University is now spared from renting chairs and sound system whenever there is school-wide event),
โ€ข Holding of the first-ever gift-giving to faculty and staff members who fell victims of Typhoon Uwan,
โ€ข Graduation Ball for College,
โ€ข Spiritual Retreat and Student Engagements,
โ€ข Community Engagement and Outreach Program among the Indigenous Peoples of Casiguran and Brgy. Villa Aurora in Maria Aurora,

The events reflected the administration's commitment to holistic student development by recognizing not only academic excellence but also social growth and camaraderie among students. Further, new initiatives aimed at strengthening student engagement, spiritual formation, and community outreach were introduced, fostering a more vibrant and inclusive campus environment.

Dr. Romano also championed efforts to expand academic opportunities and improve program offerings. Discussions and preparatory activities for the reopening and enhancement of academic programs, including Nursing, Public Health Professionals, Teacher Education, Tie-up with TESDA in Offering of Short-term Courses, and opening of Review Centers for Criminology, Elementary Education and Accountancy, among others are planned to be pursued to address emerging educational demands. His administration likewise promoted faculty and staff development through trainings, seminars, and partnerships with government and private institutions, ensuring continuous professional growth among personnel.
