📢 HOLIDAY ADVISORY

Please be informed that the University Library for both Miagao and Iloilo City Campus is 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 today, June 12, 2026 (Friday) in observance of 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘.

Regular library services for Miagao Campus will resume on June 15, 2026 and Iloilo City Campus will have it's regular library schedule for Saturday.
Please be guided accordingly.

Chapter One: The Journey Continues

On May 26, 2026, the University Library celebrated a significant milestone with the successful event titled “Chapter One: The Journey Continues.”
This gathering was a heartfelt celebration of growth, service, and academic commitment.

The event was further enriched by inspiring messages from university leaders, including Dr. Clement C. Camposano, Chancellor; Dr. Alice Joan G. Ferrer, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Farisal U. Bagsit, Vice Chancellor for Administration. Ms. Analiza S. Galang-Linaugo, University Librarian, presented the recap of the library’s accomplishments since it’s relocation to the new building. The event also featured recognition of generous donors, exciting presentations of future library plans, and a variety of fun activities such as awarding of the logo-making contest winner, raffle draw of free vouchers from Mr. O Brew Cafe, open house, zumba sessions, and games for the students.

More than just an anniversary celebration in its new building, this event symbolized the library’s dedication to learning, collaboration, and empowering the academic community.

Indeed, the journey continues—stronger, brighter, and more inspiring than ever.

The UPV Libraries in Iloilo City will be temporarily closed on May 26, 2026, in celebration of the UPV LIBRARY’s 1st ANNIVERSARY at UPV Miagao.

Online services will remain available on this day.

Regular on-site services will resume on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

May 26, 2026 is going to be a latte FUN!

Join us as we celebrate the first anniversary of the University Library in its new building and the grand opening of the Mr. O Brew by JKO cafe.

To make the celebration sweeter, Mr. O Brew cafe will be giving away Php100 vouchers to 15 lucky winners who will register on May 26, 2026.

The UPV University Library kept the study vibes strong with FREE COFFEE for our hardworking students last May 13, 2026, Saturday. A little caffeine, a lot of determination, and endless pages to conquer! 💪✨

Big thanks to our generous donors, Mr. Zyrel Rojo and Mrs. Jhoanna Gorriceta-Rojo, for helping make every study session warmer and brighter. 🤎

The library will be opened again this coming May 23, 2026, Saturday, at 8:00am - 4:30pm with free coffee for students preparing for their finals. See you there!
