𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗛𝗜𝗜𝗜 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 & 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 🏳️‍🌈👋

The BSIT community came together for two meaningful events during SIKAD 2026 — HIII Tech and the Pride Parade.

HIII Tech provided freshies, shifters, and transferees with valuable insights and inspiration through the talks of Mr. Rayson Imbag, Sir Ryan Bermoza, and Ma’am Angelika Balagot. The event also featured presentations from the Information Technology Student Council (ITSC), ITSC Media Group, Builders of Information Technology Society (BITS), and The Cache, showcasing their initiatives and opportunities for student involvement.

The day before, students proudly marched in the Pride Parade, celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and unity within the university community.

These events served as reminders of the importance of learning, leadership, self-expression, and embracing every individual's unique identity.

🇵🇭 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚 🇵🇭

On June 12, 1898, the Philippine flag was raised for the first time in Kawit, Cavite as our nation declared its independence—a defining moment that reflected the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering hope of Filipinos who dreamed of a free and sovereign nation.

Today, as we commemorate this historic day, we honor the heroes who fought for our freedom and the generations who continue to build upon their legacy. As our country moves forward in an increasingly connected and innovative world, may we strive for progress that uplifts our people, strengthens our communities, and ensures that the fruits of Filipino talent, ingenuity, and hard work serve the nation and its future generations.

May we continue to value our freedom, embrace our responsibilities as citizens, and work together toward a Philippines that is not only independent in history, but empowered in its future.
