Today, June 18, 2026 (Thursday), Cavite State University Naic actively participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) organized by the Disaster Intelligence Warning and Alerting Center and mandated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) through Memo No. 17, s. 2026.

Held at 9:00 AM, and led by Campus Safety Officer 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗖. 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗼, the drill engaged faculty, staff, and students in the 𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗔 𝗔 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹—𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙢, 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚, 𝙀𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚, 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚, and 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨. Participants practiced the 𝘿𝙧𝙤𝙥, 𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧, and 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙 procedure before safely evacuating to designated areas, followed by group assembly and headcount.

The activity strengthened earthquake preparedness, coordination, and safety awareness within the university community, reaffirming CvSU Naic’s commitment to disaster readiness and resilience.

Demonstrating Cavite State University Naic’s commitment to advancing research and scholarly engagement, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗕. 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗼, 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧 of the 𝙁𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙁𝘼𝙎𝘿), formally took his oath as an 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗡𝗥𝗖𝗣) under 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟰 – 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗜 (𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆) during the NRCP Oath-Taking Ceremony, held virtually on June 10, 2026, as part of the 2026 NRCP Annual Scientific Conference and 23rd Visayas Regional Cluster Assembly.

The oath-taking ceremony was presided over by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗕. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, 𝙉𝙍𝘾𝙋 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩, and welcomed new regular and associate members from state universities and colleges across the country. Through membership in the NRCP, researchers gain opportunities to collaborate with a distinguished network of academicians, scientists, and scholars, contribute to research and innovation initiatives, and participate in programs that support the nation’s scientific and scholarly development.

Dr. Cullado’s induction into the Council signifies not only a personal academic milestone but also CvSU Naic’s continuing dedication to fostering research excellence, strengthening institutional linkages, and supporting initiatives that contribute to knowledge generation and sustainable national development.

The CvSU Naic Campus Management Review was successfully conducted on June 8, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Room of the AquaBEST Building, spearheaded by ODASS-PD through the Planning Office. The activity brought together members of the Administrative Council, ISO-QMS Committee, and Process Owners, aimed at evaluating the effectiveness, adequacy, and continued alignment of the Campus Quality Management System (QMS) with the University’s strategic direction and quality objectives.

The program featured a welcome message from the 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗕. 𝗣𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘆 and an inspirational message from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗠. 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼, 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚. Discussions focused on accomplishments, challenges, opportunities for improvement, stakeholder feedback, risk management, and strategies for continuous improvement, strengthening CvSU Naic’s commitment to quality, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.

𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗔𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗘𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

Cavite State University Naic, in collaboration with the Naic Tourism Office, conducted a consultative meeting on the conduct of IEC materials development on June 4, 2026, at the Liga ng mga Barangay Session Hall, Naic, Cavite. The meeting brought together members of the PAWIKan Project Team, IEC Team, Tourism Office, and MENRO to discuss and finalize plans for the upcoming Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Development Training under the PAWIKan Extension Project.

The consultation focused on enhancing participants’ capabilities in developing effective advocacy materials, including brochures, promotional videos, and other communication tools using Canva, Canva AI, and Magic Studio. Discussions centered on producing engaging and informative IEC materials that support pawikan conservation and environmental awareness initiatives.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗔. 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗲, Tourism Focal Person, shared valuable insights on integrating zero-waste practices and environmental sustainability messages into communication materials. She also provided recommendations on booklet and brochure specifications and proposed a collaborative IEC campaign among CvSU Naic, the LGU Naic Tourism Office, and partner stakeholders to further strengthen conservation awareness and promote local ecotourism initiatives. The meeting underscored the commitment of all participating institutions to advancing environmental education, community engagement, and sustainable coastal resource management through strategic communication and partnership.

Cavite State University Naic, in partnership with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Naic, successfully conducted the seminar “𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙐𝙨 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣! : 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣” on May 28, 2026, at the Liga ng mga Barangay Session Hall, Naic, Cavite. The activity brought together barangay councilors from various coastal barangays to enhance their understanding of pollution control, sustainable waste management, and environmental conservation.

Led by Project Leader and Speaker 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗕. 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗼 and PPSS Officer 𝗠𝗿. 𝗕𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠. 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘆, the seminar highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing environmental issues and advancing sustainable development. Participants actively engaged in the discussions and expressed their commitment to supporting environmental protection initiatives, particularly in preserving marine ecosystems and safeguarding pawikan (sea turtle) habitats through responsible waste management and community-based conservation efforts.

The activity reinforced the shared commitment of CvSU Naic, MENRO, and local stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship, strengthen climate action initiatives, and encourage sustainable practices that contribute to the long-term protection of coastal and marine resources.

Faculty and staff members from the CvSU Naic and Tanza campuses convened for a Benchmarking Activity on Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO practices on June 2, 2026, at the Conference Room of the AquaBEST Building. The delegation from CvSU Tanza Campus was welcomed by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗖. 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗻, 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧, 𝙊𝘿𝘼𝙎𝙎-𝙋𝘿, in lieu of the Campus Administrator. The activity aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of QMS procedures, documentation, and implementation aligned with ISO standards.

The benchmarking session featured presentations by the 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗦𝗢-𝗤𝗠𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, they shared insights on quality assurance mechanisms, compliance requirements, and best practices in sustaining an effective quality management system. Participants actively engaged in discussions, exchanging experiences, challenges, and successful strategies in implementing quality initiatives across their respective campuses.

A question-and-answer session further enriched the activity by addressing concerns related to quality assurance processes while emphasizing the importance of leadership commitment, continuous improvement, regular internal audits, and effective management review in maintaining organizational excellence. The activity reinforced the university's commitment to fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement in support of its academic and administrative operations.

𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺

Student researchers from CvSU Naic showcased their academic excellence and innovative research during the 2026 Student Research Symposium held on June 3–4, 2026, at the Interdisciplinary Building of CvSU Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. Participating through virtual oral presentations and in-person Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) and poster presentation competitions, the delegates demonstrated the quality and impact of undergraduate research across various disciplines.

Among the notable achievements, the study conducted by 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘔. 𝘊𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘺, 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘉. 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘴, and 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘦𝘭 𝘊. 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭, under the guidance of 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘵. 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧. 𝘈𝘳𝘫𝘢𝘺 𝘉. 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘶𝘦𝘨 garnered the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝗠𝗧 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 and was recognized as the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 in the 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮, underscoring its valuable contribution to aquaculture research. Meanwhile, the research undertaken by 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘓. 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘰𝘭 and 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘩 𝘝𝘪𝘦 𝘝. 𝘋𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘰𝘯, with 𝘔𝘴. 𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘦 𝘔. 𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘨𝘢𝘯, as adviser, was awarded 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 in the 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮 for its significant relevance to environmental sustainability and marine resource management. Additionally, the innovative project developed by 𝘔𝘫 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘤𝘴𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘈𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘳, and 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘻 𝘑𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘍𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴, under the mentorship of 𝘋𝘳. 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘺 𝘑𝘢𝘺 𝘙𝘪𝘦𝘭 secured 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, showcasing the effective integration of technology and fisheries applications.

The recognition received by the student researchers reflects CvSU Naic’s commitment to fostering a strong research culture, encouraging innovation, and developing competent graduates capable of contributing meaningful solutions to industry and society.
