LIS AND BARANGAY LUNGOG INK MOA TO STRENGTHEN SCHOOL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

LUNGOG, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur – Demonstrating the power of collaboration in advancing quality education, Lungog Integrated School (LIS), under the leadership of School Principal I Dr. Dexter John C. Collo, formally inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Barangay Government of Lungog led by the Barangay Captain, Hon. Kristofferson C. Monis, reinforcing their shared commitment to school safety, security, and environmental sustainability-June 16.

The partnership highlights two significant agreements: the implementation of School Safety and Security Assistance through Barangay Tanod Deployment and the establishment of a Schedule of Waste Collection Services within the school premises.

The ceremonial signing symbolizes the strong partnership between the school and the local government in creating a safer, cleaner, and more conducive learning environment for all learners and stakeholders.

Through the deployment of barangay tanods, the school aims to strengthen campus security and ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and visitors. Meanwhile, the waste collection agreement reinforces environmental responsibility and proper waste management practices in support of a clean and healthy school community.

Beyond the MOA signing, the school and the barangay captain also discussed the school's request for an additional school building. And Mr. Monis shared updates that the proposed infrastructure project is currently under the bidding process and is awaiting the final results. Once approved, the additional building is expected to address classroom needs and further enhance the learning environment for present and future learners of Lungog Integrated School.

This collaboration reflects the spirit of bayanihan, proving that when schools and communities work hand in hand, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.

As Lungog Integrated School continues to build networks and partnerships, it remains steadfast in its commitment to providing a secure, orderly, and learner-centered environment—where every child can thrive and succeed.

Indeed, education flourishes when communities unite for a common purpose.
