Grateful for the meaningful and engaging Research Ethics Orientation with our research and capstone students from the College of Computer Studies, Engineering, and Architecture held at Campus 2 GF SJ Library last February 11, 2026, 9:00–11:00 AM.

The orientation emphasized that research ethics protects people, not just projects. Student studies involving human participants and digital data require legal compliance, informed consent, and responsible data handling. Even small technical research can cause harm. Ethical accountability, data privacy, and public safety must guide every engineering, IT, and architecture research endeavor.

Thank you to everyone who listened and committed to doing research the right way. Integrity is not an extra requirement. It is the foundation.

The La Salle University Research Ethics Committee (LSU-REC) proudly extends its strong support to the 7th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (IMRC) 2026, hosted by De La Salle Araneta University in partnership with La Salle University, De La Salle Philippines and UniLaSalle, the global network of Lasallian schools worldwide.

Anchored on the theme “Tech for Transformation: Driving Social and Environmental Impact,” IMRC 2026 showcases LSU’s growing leadership in ethical, innovative, and socially responsive research. Faculty members of LSU's HEU and BEU served as conference moderators.

This multidisciplinary gathering provides a vital platform for scholars and practitioners to share knowledge, bridge disciplinary boundaries, and co-create innovative solutions to complex social and environmental challenges. It also strengthens inter-institutional collaboration, nurtures a culture of ethical and responsible research, and amplifies the collective impact of academic work across local and global communities.

CONGRATULATIONS for a successful BRET!

The LSU-Research Ethics Committee, in partnership with the Institutional Research and Publications Office, proudly celebrates the success of the Basic Research Ethics Training held on December 10–11, 2025 via Zoom.

A warm thank you to our ever-supportive administrators — Br. Rey E. Mejias FSC, Dr. Wenny M. Caseros, and Dr. Carousel B. Tagaylo — whose guidance made this initiative possible. We also extend our appreciation to our colleagues from De La Salle Araneta University, led by Mr. Francis Joseph Beltran, DLSAU-REC Chair, for joining us in this meaningful learning experience.

We are deeply grateful to the highly esteemed trainers from the Regional Ethics Monitoring Board Region XI, whose expertise enriched the sessions and strengthened our shared commitment to ethical research across institutions.

The training gathered LSU and DLSAU REC members, along with dedicated faculty representatives from the LSU Higher Education and Basic Education Units, all united in advancing a culture of integrity, accountability, and responsible scholarship.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this milestone. Together, we continue building strong ethical foundations for research that serves the common good. 🌿📚
