The heat is on, so it’s time to stay informed, prepared, and protected this summer! Join the National Service Training Program (NSTP) together with the Student Emergency Response Team (SERT), as we bring you an awareness seminar focused on heat safety, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Parañaque Campus, successfully participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)

Last March 12, 2026, at 3:30 pm, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Parañaque Successfully conducted a Earthquake Drill with the collaboration of National Service Training Program (NSTP) and Student Emergency Response Team (SERT) officers with the guidance of our campus nurses Ms. Honeylee Magtibay and Laura Labolera together with our DRRI focal person Ms. Catherine Llave.

This aims to strengthen awareness, improve readiness, and teach everyone the correct safety procedures to follow in case an earthquake occurs. By practicing the steps Duck, Cover, and Hold, students learned how to protect themselves from possible falling objects and hazards during an earthquake.

This video captures the calm, discipline, and teamwork of everyone involved, showing how preparedness and quick response can make a real difference during emergencies. Drills like this are vital in building awareness, confidence, and readiness for any situation.

Last November 18 and 20 2025, CWTS students alongside NSTP officers come together to seperate labels and caps in plastic bottles with a goal to reduce plastic waste and encourage responsible disposal around the campus.

By January 8, The bottles was sold at a junkshop in Parañaque City. The funds we raised from the sold bottles was added to the NSTP budget
