Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.

Last October 23-25, 2024 Illana Bay Integrated Computer College Inc. had participated in the National Summit 2024 held at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation at Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City with the theme “JSWAP NATIONAL SUMMIT: Advancing professionalism and service impact in social work”. The JSWAP Ibicci chapter was led by Mr. Julius R. Manalo RSW and the following social work students, Ms. Armalia Sarip, Ms. Sittie Aina Sarip, Ms. Rasmia Dimao 4th year SW students and Ms. Juliana Manalo a 2nd year Sw student.

The program was indeed a blast and it was filled with valuable knowledge and encouragement to our chosen field. By the beginning of the program R.D Shalaine Lucero RSW regional director field office DSWD VII shared the 6 ways of how to make an impact as a work such as to be inquisitive,magnanimous, patient and passionate, active listener, collaboration and truthful & trustworthy. This is an eye opener for every aspiring social workers to have an insight on how to be impactful. Mr Cleo Angelo D. Guevarra RSW PASWI Public relations officers also gives his inspiring message about his journey as a social worker and discuss the purpose of NASWI. Dr. Khalachuchi Flores-Caballes RSW, MSSW, LPT, PhD, President of NASWEI shared an impactful message in regards to rightful way of performing as a social workers. She highlighted that “Importante tayong mga manggagawang pilipino”, which enlightened us to keep pursuing our chosen field. This is truly an unforgettable experience and due to this event, we’ve reunited with other JSWAP chapters in central mindanao and this summit had been a great way of connecting with other JSWAP chapters which led towards comaraderie around aspiring social workers all over the nation.

On behalf of Illana Bay Integrated Computer College Inc., we humbly appreciate the efforts of JSWAP to make this summit memorable and knowledgeable and we send our deepest gratitude to the JSWAP council for inviting us to the National Summit 2024. We hope to meet you again in the near future. To Illana Bay Integrated Computer College Inc.
