An international-intergovernmental organization and training institution for Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the Asia-Pacific region

CPSC is an Inter-governmental International Organization for human resources development in Asia and the Pacific Region. CPSC’s programs and services are primarily intended to equip TVET personnel in the member countries with up-to-date knowledge and skills in various areas of interest. CPSC is the only regional institution established specifically to enhance the quality of TVET, CPSC provides leadership in this regard by designing and conducting various programs and courses in different levels.

The gathering also welcomed fellow Ambassadors who are also members of the CPSC Governing Board.

The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) is hiring 𝘁𝘄𝗼 (𝟮) 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 to join its international team in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

As a Faculty Specialist, you will provide academic guidance, expertise, and support in the planning and implementation of CPSC’s training programs, research and publications, consultancy projects, and other initiatives to advance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across the Asia-Pacific region.

𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙮?
🔲 Must be a citizen of any of the CPSC member countries
🔲 Must be below 60 years of age
🔲 Must have good knowledge and skills in ICT and digital technology
🔲 Enjoys teaching and networking with diverse audiences

𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚
🔲 At least a Master's Degree holder or equivalent in technical/technology education, engineering, or in any related field of study
🔲 Served at least 5 years in a faculty position in Universities, Technical and Engineering Colleges, Technical Teachers Colleges, Polytechnics, and/or other teacher training institutions of excellence
🔲 Preferably to have industry experience
🔲 Preferably have resource generation experience through sponsored projects and consultancy assignments.

The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) is hiring 𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝟭) 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 to join the team in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the Staff College’s financial transactions, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and facilitating financial audits, in support of CPSC’s operations and TVET development initiatives across its 16 member countries.

𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙮?
🔲 Philippine nationals or permanent residents of the Philippines
🔲 Certified Public Accountant, with valid registration and certification
🔲 Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance administration and management
🔲 A master’s degree in Financial Management, Business, Accountancy, or a related field is an advantage.

🤖🌐 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗩𝗘𝗧 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC), in collaboration with the Department of Education - Government of Papua New Guinea, virtually conducted the In-Country Program on "AI and IOT Applications in TVET: Building Smart, Digital, and Future-Ready TVET Systems for Papua New Guinea" from October 5 to 9, 2026, via Zoom.

Recognizing Papua New Guinea’s unique geographical and digital infrastructure challenges, the program emphasized responsible, inclusive, and context-appropriate technology adoption in TVET delivery. Throughout the five-day program, a total of 26 participants explored practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to strengthen TVET planning, curriculum development, teaching and learning, and institutional management.

The program was implemented under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar Dhameja, CPSC Director General, and Dr. Uke Kombra, Secretary of Papua New Guinea’s Department of Education. Meanwhile, Prof. Naeem Yaqoob and Prof. Rhodora Ulan served as Program Coordinators and Resource Persons, alongside Prof. Chandana Edirisinghe as Program Co-Coordinator and Resource Person. Ms. Asseneth Tugiau served as Local Program Coordinator.

With strengthened digital awareness and practical approaches to AI and IoT integration, the participants are better equipped to explore technology-enabled solutions that would enhance institutional performance, respond to evolving workforce needs, and advance a more inclusive, innovative, and future-ready TVET sector in Papua New Guinea.

𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 🌱

As part of its continuing commitment to professional development, the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) conducted a series of Staff Development and Training Activities from September 29-30 to October 2, 2026 at the CPSC Conference Room.

The activities were designed to strengthen workplace skills, enhance professional competencies, and support the effective performance of various roles and responsibilities. The training sessions covered the following:

1️⃣ Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Program Orientation (September 29)
Facilitated by Pag-IBIG representatives

2️⃣ Office Productivity Tools and Basic Troubleshooting (September 30)
Facilitated by the CPSC ICT Division

3️⃣ APACC Documentation Associate Training (October 2)
Facilitated by APACC and Prof. Naeem Yaqoob, Faculty Specialist

Through this training, the CPSC Local and Professional Staff were given opportunities to learn, share, and grow together, strengthening the knowledge and capabilities that support the College’s work.

The CPSC Director General, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja, had the honor of meeting with the Honourable Minister of State for External Affairs of the Government of India, H.E. Mr. Pabitra Margherita, during his visit to the Embassy of India in Manila on September 3, 2026.

At the invitation of H.E. Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, Ambassador of India to the Philippines, Prof. Dhameja shared an overview of the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC), its work in advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across the Asia-Pacific, and opportunities for collaboration with the Government of India.

The exchange opened a promising avenue for exploring how India and CPSC can work together in support of skills development and TVET cooperation across the region.

The CPSC Director General, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Stephen Pokanis OBE DCS, Ambassador of Papua New Guinea to the Philippines, on April 8, 2026 in Manila, Philippines.

During the visit, the DG welcomed His Excellency as one of the new Members of the CPSC Governing Board and shared the College’s mandate, programs, and services, as well as its renewed engagement with Papua New Guinea. The discussions highlighted the successful implementation of face-to-face and online programs for PNG and the signing of an MOU with PNG’s Ministry of Education on accreditation activities through APACC.

H.E. Mr. Pokanis, who previously served as Commissioner of the Papua New Guinea Correctional Service, brings a wealth of experience in public service and administration to his engagement with the College.

The CPSC Director General, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mrs. Ei Ei Tin, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on August 12, 2026 at the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

H.E. Mrs. Ei Ei Tin has served Myanmar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1993, holding various diplomatic and senior positions in Myanmar’s missions in Geneva, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, London, and Bangkok. Throughout her career, she has been recognized with several national awards, including the Public Service Medal, Outstanding Public Service Medal, and Outstanding Administrative Service Medal.

CPSC warmly welcomes Her Excellency as a new Member of the CPSC Governing Board and looks forward to continued collaboration in advancing TVET development across the Asia-Pacific region.
