โ€ŽAligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on responsible waste management, this project emphasizes waste segregation between biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials. It aims to help students become responsible citizens by cultivating mindfulness about waste disposal in shared public spaces.

In collaboration with the Supreme Student Council, the College of Education Student Association has initiated an outreach program entitled the "Eduk-Aksyon Outreach Program," carrying the theme, "One Book Shared, One Step Ahead, Eduk-Aksyon: Where Hope is Spread," to be carried out on June 03, 2026, at Lower Darayan Elementary School, Patikul, Sulu. This program aims to show support to institutions in remote areas by reaching out and providing essential school supplies needed by both pupils and teachers.

This initiative is supported by the constituent organizations under the College of Education Student Association, encompassing the General Science Club, English Club, Mathematics Club, General Education Club, Future Elementary Teachers Organization, and, finally, the Gazette Publications.

Ultimately, this program aligns with Sustainable Development Goals No. 4, Quality Educationโ€”ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all; No. 10, Reduced Inequalitiesโ€”reducing inequality within and among countries; and No. 17, Partnerships for the Goalsโ€”strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.

In essence, this initiative promotes equal access to quality education in marginalized communities by providing essential learning materials and learning support. Through this, it encourages both pupils and teachers to strengthen their desire for educational growth and development. Moreover, it also advocates for support and collaboration, inspiring others to contribute toward achieving the same goal. This significantly mirrors the theme, "One Book Shared, One Step Ahead, Eduk-Aksyon: Where Hope is Spread," as it underscores how a single book shared can strongly contribute to an individual's growth and bring joy and hope, paving the way for opportunities in their future.

Alhamdulillah, our โ€œEmbracing Hijab, Embracing Modestyโ€ gathering last May 22 was filled with meaningful reminders, heartfelt conversations, and beautiful moments of sisterhood. ๐Ÿง•๐Ÿปโœจ

We are deeply grateful to our speaker for emphasizing the importance of the hijab, its purpose in Islam, and the beauty of wearing it with sincerity and devotion to Allah. Truly, the hijab is more than just a cloth, it is an act of faith, modesty, and identity.

A heartfelt thank you as well to everyone who donated hijabs for this event. Because of your generosity, many Bangsa Fatima sisters were able to receive free hijabs and feel encouraged in their journey, in sha Allah. Your kindness became a source of inspiration and comfort to many hearts.

A key takeaway from our advocacy, โ€œHijab is not a sign of oppression, it is a symbol of faith, dignity, identity, and modesty. However, Men should wear hijab too. Not necessarily in the form of a headscarf. Men are also commanded to lower their gaze, dress modestly, protect their dignity, avoid arrogance, and treat women with respectโ€.

May Allah reward everyone who supported, attended, donated, and participated in making this gathering successful. May He continue to guide us all in embracing modesty with sincerity and love for the sake of Allah. ๐Ÿค
