🌊✨ Earlier today May 09, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology students of Palawan State University – College of Sciences proudly celebrated their 2𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 at the PSU Amphitheater. 💙🐠

Carrying the theme, “𝓞𝓬𝓮𝓪𝓷 𝓸𝓯 𝓓𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓶𝓼: 𝓘𝓷𝓼𝓹𝓲𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓝𝓮𝔁𝓽 𝓖𝓮𝓷𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓸𝓯 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓮 𝓑𝓲𝓸𝓵𝓸𝓰𝓲𝓼𝓽,”the ceremony marked an important milestone in the academic journey of the students as they move closer toward becoming future marine scientists and ocean advocates. 🌟

The event was filled with heartfelt testimonials, inspiring messages, and moments of gratitude that reflected the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of every plating recipient. It served not only as a celebration of achievement but also as a reminder of the responsibility to protect and preserve our marine ecosystems for future generations. 🌊

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 🌊
Earlier this morning, the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 hosted an engaging facility tour for MS1 students. Our labmates conducted a series of demonstrations on macroplastics and microplastics: 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 showcased how we track plastic waste using our newly developed AI system, while 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲 guided the students through the laboratory, providing hands-on experience with essential detection equipment and an introduction to our research methodologies. 🔬
It was an incredible morning spent inspiring the next generation of eco-warriors and future scientists! 🤩✨

The PalawanSU Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Division kicked off Phase 1 of its campus visitation series at the San Rafael Campus! Led by the Office of the VP for RDE, this initiative is part of our commitment to empowering our external campuses through streamlined protocols and enhanced technical skills.
Highlights of the session included:
✅️ RDE Protocols & Funding: Guidance on the 2026 RDI Agenda, internal funding, and publication incentives.
✅️ Proposal Development: A deep dive into crafting high-impact
proposals aligned with SDGs, led by Prof. Jerone Avel S. Cansino.
✅️ Technical Skills: A session on quantitative analysis and statistical tools.
✅️ Innovation & Commercialization: PITBI’s roadmap for turning research into viable startups.
✅️ Ethics & Integrity: A crucial discussion on Research Ethics Protocols to ensure the highest standards of academic inquiry.
