MUSIC THEORY SESSION✨🎶

Last August 28, 2026, the PSU Singers conducted a music theory session for all aspirants and trainees of PSU Singers!

Led by Earl Mart Ricare, the session lays a solid foundation to them by explaining the fundamental elements of chorale music such as the structure, rhythm, harmony and many more.

Understanding these core principles helps aspirants and trainees interpret pieces with greater confidence, precision, and deeper musical expression.

This is a first step that equips them with essential skills that can help them improve their vocal blend and adapt easily to different musical styles and pieces.

🎶 MOCK QUARTET EXAMINATION | PSU SINGERS 🎶

In photos, the PSU Singers undergo their Mock Quartet Examination featuring “A Million Dreams,” arranged by our very own Choral Director, Sir Demy R. Dizon. 🎼

The quartet examination gives each singer an opportunity to strengthen their mastery of the piece while developing essential ensemble skills, including:

🎵 Mastery of individual SATB parts
⏱️ Tempo and rhythmic accuracy
🎶 Vocal blending and balance
🎼 Intonation and harmonic awareness
🎤 Confidence in independent singing
👂 Listening and responding to fellow voices

Singing in a quartet challenges each member to carry their own part while listening closely to the other three voices. The goal is to create four individual voices that work together as one unified ensemble. 🤝🎶

As one of Palawan’s competitive choral groups and a cultural ambassador of Palawan State University, PSU Singers continues to uphold a high standard of musical excellence. 🏆

Palawan State University Singers Lead Flag Ceremony and ASEAN Month 2026 Kick-Off

Another week begins with music, culture, and pride!🇵🇭🎶
The Palawan State University Singers, the Official Cultural Ambassadors for Choral Music of Palawan State University, have successfully led the University’s Weekly Flag Raising Ceremony, along with the Kick-Off Ceremony for the Celebration of ASEAN Month 2026.
