📄 Important Reminders:

Ensure that your manuscript is circulated to your panel members at least one (1) week before your scheduled defense to allow sufficient time for a thorough and comprehensive review.

‼️Thesis/Dissertation Oral Presentation Application (Form 2) – three (3) copies, duly signed by your Adviser, Panel Members, the Department Chair, and the College Dean

ISUFST TAPS NATIONAL RESEARCH LEADER TO BOOST R&D CAPACITY. The National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP–DOST), through its RDLead FIRE (Research and Development Leadership to Foster an Inclusive Research Ecosystem) Program, has approved the engagement of Dr. Roger G. Dolorosa as RD Leader for Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST), with the engagement expected to commence early February 2026. The program mobilizes experienced researchers to strengthen research culture, build R&D capacity, and mentor faculty-researchers toward inclusive and impactful scholarship.
With the strong support of ISUFST University President Dr. Nordy D. Siason Jr. and the active collaboration of ISUFST focal persons Dr. Rex S. Paulino, Dr. Jeanette G. Bayona, and Dr. Edmer D. Dr. Benjamin J. Gonzales, retired Professor of the WPU–College of Fisheries and Natural Sciences, has officially taken his oath as the First Member of the Continuing Professional Development Council (CPDC) for Fisheries!

The oath-taking was held on October 23, 2025, and was administered by PRC Commissioner Conrado T. Onglao, Oversight Commissioner for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially welcomed Dr. Benjamin J. Gonzales as the First Member of the Continuing Professional Development Council (CPDC) of Fisheries on October 23, 2025.

The oath of office was administered by PRC Commissioner Conrado T. Onglao, Oversight Commissioner for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and witnessed by Atty. Maria Liza M. Hernandez, Director of the Regulation Office.

The CPDC of Fisheries plays a vital role in promoting continuous learning among licensed fisheries professionals, ensuring they remain updated with the latest advancements in science, technology, and sustainable practices. As the newly appointed First Member, Dr. Gonzales will help design and oversee development programs that enhance professional competence and uphold the standards of the fisheries profession in the country.
