WHO: ALL STELLANS AND FRIENDS WILLING TO JOIN THE FUN OF A YARDSALE FOR-A-CAUSE!
WHAT: FUND-RAISING EVENT VIA YARD SALE FOR STELLANS BATCH 1990 GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING
WHEN: NOVEMBER 2, 2013, SATURDAY, 7AM TO 4PM

Hello dear Stellans!
Last April, we successfully held our Batch 1990 Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, we reconnected with our classmates, had fun and games and reminisced on our past and just simply enjoyed one another’s company. On top of that, we started the ground running for our Batch’s Grand Alumni Homecoming Event in 2015.
In Vegas and shortly thereafter, we were able to raise (as of the latest per Kay Gadi-Carreon) $1700, for the batch homecoming. The amount came from contributions and the sale of the Batch T-shirts.
Now as a follow-up to our Vegas fundraising, we have thought of holding a YARD SALE FOR A CAUSE on November 2, at Rowena Basa-Cruz’s home in Northridge.
Items that we no longer need at home ranging from kitchen stuff, electronics, clothes, shoes, toys, décor, etc. would be put on sale at very cheap prices. All proceeds will go to our Batch Fund, which is safely deposited in a bank account here in California.
May we now ask our Stellan Batchmates to join us in the Yard Sale, bring stuff to sell, or send them over to to Weng’s house. Please see her address above. We can also solicit items from friends and family and tell them that it would all be for a good cause. The money, as we all know will go to Stella Maris, as part of our giving back opportunity to our Alma Mater.
Now for those who are reading this from other states or from the Philippines, we hope this will encourage you as well to hold your own yard/garage sales or of other ways you can think of to raise funds for the homecoming. Wouldn’t it be a good idea if we can do all these simultaneously on November 2?
We are of course open to more ideas! And can we have a heads up please on who would be supporting us in this event?
