Touch Me Now follows the powerful Dela Costa clan as they host a feast and live their lives, tracing the entanglements of nationalism, religion, and privilege. Marcelito is pulled between private pressures and the public reckoning of student protests, while his father approves violent police measures, including a strict curfew. Elsewhere, his cousin Ramon operates a nightclub where patrons pay to break that curfew, and cousin Maribel runs a media monopoly. The novel shows how power operates without care, as a karinderya ownerโ€™s son is killed, a student hardens her heart, and Marcelito is swept into a revolt. Set over a fortnight, Touch Me Now is about how power is sustained, and why people striveโ€”by whatever meansโ€”to wield it.

We've all found ourselves at a hospital at some point ๐Ÿฅ

And some of the most human stories can be from a healthcare setting. From humorous and romantic scenarios in Tepai Pascual's Duty Ka Ba? Komiks, to the realitiesโ€”both on the hysterical and harrowing extremesโ€”of the profession of saving lives in the real-life accounts of Dr. Ronnie Baticulon and Dr. Will Liangco, and more.

If you're coming off your shift from The Pitt, these might just be your next reads. Find these great reads on our shelves at Fully Booked branches. Send us a message for inquiries ๐Ÿ“š
