We have been informed by the University of Malaga that an outgoing (UP College of Law to University of Malaga) student mobility slot has been opened. This will allow a UP College of Law student to take courses at the University of Malaga for a maximum of five (5) months, or from February 10 to July 16, 2027 (or the Second Semester of AY 2026-2027), with Erasmus grant funding (study, living, and travel expenses) under the European Programme Erasmus+ Key Action or KA171 Program. The University of Malaga is considering offering an additional slot, but we have yet to receive confirmation. Deadline for the submission of our nomination is on October 30, 2026.

UP College of Law students who are in at least their second year and are in good standing may submit an expression of interest and a curriculum vitae. The expression of interest should be addressed to the Dean and describe the applicant’s ability and readiness to travel, areas of legal interest, and how the mobility opportunity would benefit and advance the applicant’s legal studies.

The nomination will be evaluated by the University of Malaga Screening Committee. Upon acceptance, the student will be assisted in applying for international cross-enrollment.

The University of the Philippines Paralegal Training Program (UP PTP) is pleased to announce its Legal Writing Seminar entitled “Contracts 101,” which will be held on November 9-10, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, via Zoom.

We cordially invite you to this two-day seminar, which will focus on the fundamentals and substantive provisions of the law on obligations and contracts, as well as practical skills in contract drafting.

- The seminar will cover the following core topics:
- Legal Writing Defined
- Critical Thinking and Legal Analysis
- Elements of Written Contracts
- Written Contracts and the Role of Legal Writing (utilizing a sample situation)
- Special Contracts

This 15-hour seminar comprises lectures, workshops, and short quizzes integrated throughout the program. Lectures will be delivered by expert resource persons, while participants will be guided by UP PTP mentors during the workshop. Upon completion of the seminar and compliance with the required writing exercises, a Certificate of Participation will be issued by the UP Law Center.

The registration fee is PHP 4,000.00 per participant, inclusive of the seminar and training materials. As the seminar will be conducted entirely online, participants will attend remotely via Zoom.
