The pre-finalists for the Research and Design categories, nominated by the eight departments and institutes of the College, will be evaluated by members of the College Executive Board. Five unranked finalists in each category will be announced on or before Monday, 29 June 2026. All unranked finalists are guaranteed to be among the winners; however, at this stage their ranks are not yet known.
The five unranked finalists in each category will be judged and ranked by an external panel of judges. Ranked winners of the UPC 2026 will be announced during the College of Engineering Rites on Wednesday, 8 July 2026.
