In 2026, we celebrate a double milestone: the 116th Founding Anniversary of the UP Diliman Civil Engineering program and the 10th year of ICE at our current building location.

To help us prepare for the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the ICE Building, we invite all alumni to answer our initial sensing survey here: https://bit.ly/ICEHomecoming

The UP Institute of Civil Engineering proudly shares the participation of Dr. Augustus Resurreccion, Dr. Cybelle Concepcion Futalan, and Asst. Prof. Ma. Brida Lea Diola, members of the Environment and Energy Engineering Group - UP ICE, in the 9th Consultative Meeting of the Technical Working Group of the International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (INSTO), held on May 19–20, 2026, at the BSC Conference Hall.

Their involvement is part of the continuing partnership among UP Diliman, Batanes State College, and the Provincial Government of Batanes in conducting research and monitoring activities under the Batanes Tourism and Hospitality Monitoring Center.

The team, led by Dr. Resurreccion, is also implementing Phase 3 of the project titled “Enhancing Solid Waste, Water and Wastewater Management Systems for Sustainable Tourism in Batanes,” funded by the UP Diliman Open Research Grant, which supports Batanes’ commitment as a UN Tourism global observatory.
