Tucit, Director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management Office, for being selected to participate in the Elevating Leadership and Institutional Capacity Towards Excellence in Philippine Higher Education (ELITE PHE) Leadership Development Program initiated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

The three-month program, running from September to November 2026, provides an intensive learning experience focused on strategic leadership, higher education administration, quality assurance, financial stewardship, and institutional excellence.

The Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) participated in the 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐆𝐓𝐈𝐏) 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 5𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 hosted by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Bangkok, Thailand on June 25, 2026.

Representing BASC were Dr. Joselito D. Tucit, Engr. Isabel Samantha C. Belonio, and Engr. Rabroy Esmale, who attended the event as members of the BASC Technical Team from the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department. The team has been collaborating with GGGI and Alcom Carbon Markets Philippines Inc. (ALCOM) on the project, "𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑽𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒊𝒐𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚: 𝑨 𝑮𝑮𝑮𝑰 𝑰𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚."

During the meeting, GGGI presented the accomplishments of the three-year GTIP implementation in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. For the Philippine component, the Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative highlighted BASC's significant contribution in developing competency-based biochar training modules under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Microcredential Framework. The collaboration between BASC and ALCOM successfully aligned training competencies with industry needs, laying the foundation for future workforce development in the country's emerging biochar sector.

Prior to the official program, BASC, ALCOM, and representatives from the Board of Investments (BOI) discussed updates on TESDA accreditation and explored future collaborations, including potential projects on biochar applications and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The discussions also opened opportunities for BASC's possible participation in the next phase of the GTIP, particularly in developing workforce competencies for SAF technologies.

The event concluded with discussions on the proposed Phase 2 of the Green Transition Investment Program, reinforcing the commitment of partner institutions to strengthen green skills development and accelerate the transition toward a sustainable, low-carbon economy.

BASC extends its sincere gratitude to GGGI, ALCOM, TESDA, the Board of Investments, and the BASC Administration for their continued support and partnership in advancing green innovation, technical education, and sustainable development.

Rabroy Esmale attended the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗚𝗧𝗜𝗣) 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 held in Bangkok, Thailand on June 25, 2026. The event brought together project partners and stakeholders to review the accomplishments and key milestones of the GTIP across the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss lessons learned, future directions for the program, and potential areas for continued collaboration in promoting green technologies, sustainable workforce development, and low-carbon initiatives.

In celebration of World Arbor Day, the Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE) Central Luzon Chapter, in collaboration with the PSABE National Board, successfully conducted a Tree Planting Activity on July 3, 2026, at Ayala, Magalang, Pampanga.

The activity was attended by PSABE National Officers, Regional Officers, and officers and members from the PSABE Bulacan and Pampanga Chapters, who came together to plant fruit-bearing tree seedlings in support of environmental conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

Together, we continue to make a difference—one tree at a time. 🌳💚
