A meaningful morning of learning, collaboration, and shared purpose took place on September 3, 2026, as First City Providential College (FCPC) and its partner school, San Jose del Monte National High School (SJDMNHS), came together for the REAL Reading Program โ Reading, Engagement, Application, Learning Interaction, held at the FCPC Conference Hall. The event was attended by teachers from SJDMNHS and student volunteers from different departments, who gathered to discover what REAL is all about and how they can contribute to making the program meaningful for learners. ๐ฉโ๐ซ๐ค๐ฉโ๐
The session introduced the REAL Reading Program, its purpose, and the important roles of teachers and student volunteers in supporting learners throughout the reading process. To bring the concepts to life, students from the College of Education led a demonstration showcasing how reading can go beyond simply reading wordsโencouraging learners to engage, apply what they learn, and interact meaningfully throughout the learning experience. ๐๐ก
Through the collaboration of teachers and student volunteers, the REAL Reading Program aims to create reading experiences that are engaging, purposeful, and learner-centered. Because reading is not simply about finishing a pageโit is about understanding, connecting, applying, and growing. ๐ฑ๐ Hereโs to making every story a chance to learn, every interaction a chance to grow, and every reading experience REAL! โจ๐
READ. ENGAGE. APPLY. LEARN.
Making every reading experience REAL. ๐โจ
