The Student Welfare and Development Office (SDWO), in coordination with the Student Organization Coordinating Council (SOCC) and facilitated by the Formation Services Office, conducted the Servant Leadership Training on October 4โ5, 2025, at St. Anthonyโs College. The event carried the theme โTo Lead is to Listen Emphatically, Act Devotedly,โ anchored on the SAC Learnerโs Performance Outcomes (LPO): Spiritual, Achiever, and Committed to Serve.
The two-day training aimed to strengthen the leadership foundation of student officers from the SOCC and the Student Republic (SR). Rev. Fr. Federick Rubido, MARS, College Chaplain, served as one of the speakers, discussing the four principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC): Observations, Feelings, Needs, and Requests. His talk highlighted the role of empathy and compassion in effective leadership and communication.
Mr. Bryan Siasat of SDWO facilitated a series of team-building activities at Bishop Martirez Hall, promoting collaboration, trust, and problem-solving among the participants. Various workshops and group sessions were also conducted to enhance teamwork, decision-making, and servant leadership skills.
The training concluded with a Holy Mass, during which student leaders presented their Commitment Letters, affirming their dedication to lead with empathy, integrity, and service. The activity successfully fostered a deeper sense of responsibility and strengthened the participantsโ commitment to embody the Anthonian values in their leadership roles.
