On December 12, 2025, the Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA), in collaboration with the faculty members and the College Student Council (COLSC), successfully conducted an outreach program in Barangay Dagueray, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan. With the theme โ€œGift of Hope: Sharing Holiday Cheers,โ€ the activity aimed to spread joy, compassion, and goodwill among the community members, especially during the holiday season.

The program featured the distribution of gifts and essential goods, along with meaningful activities that fostered a spirit of unity and generosity. Through this initiative, the organizers demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility and community service, bringing smiles and hope to the beneficiaries while strengthening the bond between the institution and the local community.

The 4th-year Hospitality Management students attended a seminar on โ€œAnti-Sexual Harassment and Work Ethicsโ€ held today, November 26, 2025, at 9:00 AM, as part of their preparation for their upcoming on-the-job training (OJT). The event was proudly spearheaded by the Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA).

The seminar featured distinguished speaker Atty. Jan Leandro P. Verzon, who shared his expertise on Republic Act No. 7877, also known as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act, as well as the provisions of the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313). His in-depth discussion helped students understand their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of recognizing and preventing inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

Meanwhile, Ms. Christie Melflor L. Aguirre provided an engaging session on work ethics and professional etiquette. She emphasized the value of integrity, discipline, proper workplace behavior, and the essential skills needed to uphold professionalism during OJT and future employment.

This learning opportunity equipped the students with vital knowledge to ensure they enter their training environments with confidence, awareness, and a strong sense of professionalism. The YHRA extends its gratitude to the speakers and attendees for making the seminar a meaningful and impactful experience.

The Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA) once again proved its dedication to excellence as its empowered officers and members worked hand in hand to ensure the smooth and successful ex*****on of the 2025 Flight Attendant Showmanship.

Spearheaded by YHRA under the College of Hospitality Management (CHM), the event took place on November 4, 2025, at the Campus New Gymnasium.

The show featured second-year Tourism and Hospitality students enrolled in Micro Perspective in Tourism and Hospitality under the guidance of Ms. Maricar S. Ablog. Participants showcased their communication, presentation, and in-flight safety demonstration skills, reflecting the real-life duties and professionalism of flight attendants.

This annual event continues to serve as a training ground for CHM students to enhance their creativity, confidence, and professional competencies in preparation for their future careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Among the competing teams, Golden Horizon emerged as Champion, followed by Orient Thai Airlines as First Runner-up, Sunset Eagle Airlines as Second Runner-up, and Northern Cagayan Airlines as Third Runner-up.

The College of Hospitality Management successfully held its On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation on October 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM, led by the Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (YHRA). The event was attended by 4th-year students, their parents, and CHM faculty members, aiming to prepare the graduating class for their upcoming OJT journey.

The program highlighted essential discussions on the Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) of CSU, general requirements and objectives for OJT, procedures, duties, and responsibilities, as well as grading and grooming standards. Additional topics included the research project for 4th-year students, TESDA NC II and NC III assessments, graduation requirements, and other related concerns.

The orientation served as a comprehensive guide to equip students with the knowledge, values, and professionalism needed for their future field experiences, reinforcing CHMโ€™s commitment to excellence in hospitality education.

The College of Hospitality Management (CHM) joyfully marked Teachersโ€™ Day on October 9, 2025, at the New Gymnasium with the theme โ€œPBB: Pambihirang Bayani ng Bayan,โ€ a creative concept inspired by the popular reality show Pinoy Big Brother.

The event served as a heartfelt tribute to CHM faculty members for their unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to molding future hospitality professionals. Organized through the collaborative efforts of CHM and YHRA student leaders, the celebration transformed the gymnasium into a โ€œBig Brother House,โ€ where teachers became โ€œhousematesโ€ for a day and took part in engaging activities, surprises, and games specially prepared for them.

To make the day even more delightful, students entertained the crowd with amusing impersonations of their instructors, sparking laughter and excitement throughout the venue. Representatives from each year level also shared touching messages of gratitude, recognizing the invaluable guidance, mentorship, and kindness that CHM educators consistently extend both in and out of the classroom.

The celebration concluded with vibrant games, musical numbers, and the presentation of tokens of appreciation, symbolizing the studentsโ€™ deep respect and thankfulness for their beloved mentors.

On July 28, 2025, the YHRA Organization (Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association) held an orientation for the newly elected officers and members. The program featured the official turnover ceremony between the outgoing president and the newly elected president. The meeting's agenda covered several key topics, including a discussion on accreditation and the organization's by-laws, the specific duties of each officer, and the assignment of officers and members to their respective committees.
