𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒅𝒅𝒔: 𝑩𝑺𝑰𝑻 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝑺𝑬 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒆

Santiago City — Despite a challenging national passing rate of only 15.85%, members of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) graduating class have successfully overcome the odds in the March 8, 2026 Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) administered by the Civil Service Commission.

Out of 307,489 examinees nationwide, only 48,735 individuals passed the highly competitive examination, highlighting the difficulty of securing eligibility for government service. Within this context, the achievement of BSIT students stands out as a testament to their perseverance, discipline, and academic preparation.

Among those recognized for successfully passing the examination are Daryll Mark Abella, Gano Spencer Chumilang, Trishea Andrea Liwanag, and Timothy John Lardizabal. Their success reflects both individual determination and the strength of their academic training as they prepare to transition from university life to professional careers.

The CSC exam serves as a gateway for Filipinos aspiring to enter public service, requiring competence in areas such as analytical reasoning, verbal communication, numerical skills, and general knowledge. With a low national passing rate, passing the exam is widely considered a significant accomplishment.

Faculty members and peers have extended their congratulations to the successful examinees, noting that their achievement brings pride and inspiration to the entire BSIT community. Their success reinforces the value of persistence and preparation, especially in the face of stiff competition.

As these graduates move forward, their civil service eligibility opens opportunities for employment in various government agencies, where they can apply their IT expertise in advancing digital transformation and public service innovation.

The BSIT graduating class’s success story serves as a reminder that even under difficult circumstances, determination and hard work can lead to remarkable accomplishments.

🪑✨ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗧𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘄 is a simple step toward creating a more comfortable and welcoming space for students in the OS Lobby, located on the 3rd floor of the Hospital Building.

A new bench was added to give students a place to sit, rest, wait, study, or spend time with friends between classes. Small improvements can make a big difference in building a better campus environment for everyone. 💜
