SANTIAGO CITY โ The Cagayan Valley Computer and Information Technology College (CVCITC) successfully held the much-anticipated HM Fair 2026 on April 21 and 22, 2026, bringing together students, faculty, and guests for two days of exciting competitions, meaningful activities, and celebration of the hospitality industry. Organized under the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program in partnership with JTHMAP, the gathering revolved around the core principles: โCelebrate Culture, Inspire Futures, Create Impact.โ

The event officially opened on the morning of April 21 at the CVCITC Function Hall with a formal program that began with registration, followed by the invocation, singing of the National Anthem, and the CVCITC Hymn. The opening rites also included the introduction of the Hospitality Ambassador and Ambassadress candidates and inspiring opening remarks that set the tone for the activities ahead.
Immediately following the opening ceremonies, the morning skills competitions commenced across various venues. Students showcased their creativity and expertise in the Booth Competition held at Rooms 404 and 405, while precision and professionalism were displayed during the Butler Service Competition at the Hostel. The Function Hall became the center of artistry as participants demonstrated their talents in Fruit Carving and Floral Arrangement, specifically in creating lobby centerpieces.
The afternoon sessions were filled with energy and friendly rivalry. Participants raced against time and each other in the Waiterโs Relay held on the Ground Floor, while artistic skills were once again put to the test in the Cake Decorating Competition at Room 502. The dayโs activities concluded with a lively Tug of War match, which drew cheers and support from the crowd.
On the second day, April 22, the focus shifted to knowledge and technical proficiency. The morning began with the Quiz Bee, which tested studentsโ mastery of hospitality concepts and principles. This was followed by high-energy competitions in Flairtending and Cocktail Mixing, as well as the precise art of Napkin Folding, all held at the Function Hall. The morning session ended with a fun-filled Grazing Table and Boodle Fight, allowing everyone to enjoy good food and camaraderie.
The afternoon was dedicated to recognition and entertainment. The program honored Outstanding Students for their academic and practical achievements, and culminated in the much-awaited search for the Hospitality Ambassador and Ambassadress. Adding to the festive atmosphere were traditional games such as Chinese Garter and Sack Race, as well as the amusing challenge titled โMystery Box: Eat Me Beybe.โ
