PULSO NG BAYAN : "TOP 10 BEST PERFORMING BARANGAY CAPTAINS OF NEGROS ORIENTAL - FIRST Semester of 2025"
Transparency Good Governance and Accountability Advocates and VISAYAS SOCIAL PULSE recently conducted a provincewide survey to assess public officials' job performance, focusing on elected officials in Negros Oriental. This evaluation and public survey was based on vital parameters such as but not limited to : leadership, policy formulation, development planning, crisis and disaster management, oversight and accountability, peace and order, effective administration and public service delivery.
As the basic political unit, the barangay serves as the primary planning and implementing unit of government programs, basic services, projects and activities and as a forum in which the collective views of the people in the community may be crystallized and considered.
The results from our independent and non-commissioned "PULSO NG BAYAN" survey have brought to light the remarkable performance of various Punong Barangays in the province of Negros Oriental. The “JOB PERFORMANCE” survey was part of the local poll "TINGOG SA KATAWHAN" which was conducted from August 11 - 20, 2025.
The survey involved the participation of 3,000 randomly selected registered voter respondents from various cities and municipalities within Negros Oriental. With a sampling margin of error of ±1 percent and a confidence level of 95%, the survey aimed to provide an accurate reflection of public sentiment, trust and performance approval.
This rigorous and extensive process, aimed to uphold principles of fairness and inclusivity, providing invaluable insights into the performance of public officials and contributing to effective governance across the province and the region in general.
