Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) proudly marks a new milestone in global higher education as it earns a spot in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), emerging as the top-ranked university in Eastern Visayas and placing ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ–๐ญ๐ก ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐ข๐๐ž.

The announcement was made during the 5th Annual Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities, held in Dumaguete City from July 9โ€“11, 2025. In a gathering of top global institutions, SLSU made its mark, proving that innovation thrives where vision, relevance, and resilience intersect.

In addition to its overall ranking, SLSU earned impressive global placements in WURIโ€™s specialized categories:

In addition, please be informed that the Accounting, Budget, Cashier, and Procurement Units of Southern Leyte State University - Main Campus will be closed on June 11, 2025 (Wednesday) to allow their personnel to participate in a Team Building Activity organized by the Finance Management Office.

Normal operations for other offices shall resume on June 11, Wednesday.
For the Finance Management Office, operations shall resume on June 13, Friday.
