A festive atmosphere filled the air as Cagayan State University Solana-Lara Campus officially kicked off SALUBONG 2026 with a parade and welcome dance, signaling the beginning of School Year 2026โ€“2027.

Students from the different academic programs proudly showcased their unity and school spirit through their respective color-coded representations, creating a vibrant display of camaraderie and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with the Flag Ceremony and the program proper of the Salubong 2026.

University officials, campus officials, administrative staff and faculty members were formally introduced to the students to acquaint them with the people who will guide and support them throughout their academic journey. The campus also presented an audio-visual presentation highlighting the history of CSU Solana-Lara and messages from university officials.

Adding significance to the occasion, newly elected student leaders formally took their oath of office before Campus Executive Officer Dr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang, symbolizing their commitment to serve the studentry with integrity and dedication. Selected students also graced the stage as they modeled the prescribed university and campus school uniforms, promoting identity, discipline, and pride among CSUans.

This afternoon, first-year students are set to undergo an orientation on the University's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and the various services offered by the campus. Representatives from the different support units shall provide essential information to equip the freshmen with the knowledge and understanding necessary for a meaningful and successful college life.

In her inspirational message, Dr. Mabborang warmly welcomed both returning students and freshmen and emphasized the importance of embracing opportunities and nurturing dreams.

โ€œHere at CSU Solana-Lara, you are never alone. This campus is more than a place for learning. It is your second home, where dreams are nurtured, friendships are built, and futures are shaped. Let us begin this school year with hope in our hearts, purpose in our minds, and the courage to become the best versions of ourselves,โ€ she remarked.

In a meaningful observance marked by faith, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to service, Cagayan State University Solana-Lara Campus commemorated its 4th Founding Anniversary through a Eucharistic Mass and a Tree Planting Activity.

Anchored on its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development, the campus conducted a Tree Planting Activity, symbolizing not only growth and resilience but also its continuing responsibility to nurture a greener and more sustainable future for the generations to come.

The Eucharistic Mass offered the campus community an opportunity to reflect on the blessings and milestones that have defined its four-year journey. It served as a solemn expression of thanksgiving and a reaffirmation of the institutionโ€™s shared vision of advancing excellence in instruction, research, extension, and community engagement.

Adding significance to anniversary celebration was the observance of the Campus Education Support Personnel Day, a fitting tribute to the men and women whose dedication and invaluable contributions sustain the efficient delivery of services and operations within the campus. Their steadfast commitment and quiet yet indispensable role in the attainment of the institutionโ€™s goals were duly recognized and celebrated.

Laro ng Lahi and the much-anticipated Bingo Salvo were organized to foster camaraderie and strengthen the spirit of fellowship among personnel. The activities provided moments of joy and meaningful interaction, highlighting the culture of unity and mutual appreciation that defines the CSU Solana-Lara community.

Indeed, the celebration was more than a commemoration of another year in the institutionโ€™s history. This year, CSU once again marks a significant milestone as it celebrates its 48th Founding Anniversary, a meaningful occasion that brought together its nine campuses in a grand celebration of unity, camaraderie, and pride.

Joining the university-wide festivities, CSU Solana-Lara Campus proudly showcased its vibrant spirit and talents through active participation in the various activities prepared for the celebration.

One of the highlights of the anniversary was the Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Innovation Showcase, where the nine campuses exhibited their respective products, technologies, and innovations. The showcase highlighted the unique niches and strengths of each campus, reflecting the University's continuing pursuit of innovation, sustainability, and community development.

The celebration also served as a venue to recognize and honor employees who have exemplified dedication, excellence, and loyalty in public service. Various distinctions were conferred, including the Outstanding Administrative Personnel Award, Outstanding Auxiliary Staff Award, and Loyalty Awards.

Representing CSU Solana-Lara Campus, Dr. Ailene M. Gannaban, Campus Human Resource Management Officer, and Ms. Faith-Caress Abogado, Campus Accountant, were nominated for the Outstanding Administrative Personnel Award in recognition of their exemplary performance and valuable contributions to CSU. Meanwhile, Mr. Ronald Dayag, Building and Grounds Maintenance Officer (BGMO), was selected as an Outstanding Auxiliary Staff Awardee, receiving a certificate and plaque of recognition for his dedicated service and unwavering commitment to campus operations and maintenance.

Adding excitement to the celebration was the Laro ng Lahi, where campus personnel enthusiastically participated in traditional Filipino games. These friendly competitions not only fostered teamwork and sportsmanship but also strengthened the bonds among employees from different campuses, creating memories that will be cherished long after the festivities.

As the day transitioned into the evening, the energy and enthusiasm of the CSU community continued through the much-anticipated Magpasikat Night, a talent showcase featuring performances from the different campuses. Led by Campus Executive Officer Dr. Ma. Haidee A. Mabborang, the CSU Solana-Lara delegation proudly took center stage and captivated the audience through an entertaining presentation that highlighted the artistic talents and creativity of its faculty and staff. Through singing, acting, and dancing, the campus demonstrated that excellence extends beyond academic and administrative pursuitsโ€”it also flourishes in culture, the arts, and collective teamwork.

More than a celebration of another year, the 48th Founding Anniversary of CSU served as a reminder of the institution's enduring legacy and shared vision. It reflected the University's continued pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and public service while nurturing a culture of unity, collaboration, and mutual respect among its campuses.

Interested and qualified applicants are encouraged to submit an application letter addressed to the Head of Office on or before June 18, 2026, together with the following requirements:

1. Application Letter
2. Fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with Work Experience Sheet and recent passport-sized or unfiltered digital picture (CS Form No. 212, Revised 2025); digitally signed or electronically signed;
3. Hard copy or electronic copy of the performance rating in the last rating period (if applicable);
4. Hard copy or electronic copy of proof of eligibility/rating/license; and
5. Hard copy or electronic copy of Transcript of Records.

The office welcomes all qualified applicants, including persons with disabilities (PWDs) and members of indigenous communities, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, civil status, religion, or political affiliation, in line with the Equal Opportunities for Employment Principle (EOP).
