𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 | 2𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘿𝘼𝙔

Under the continuous guidance of the ROTC Commandant Lt. Col. Romel C. De La Cruz PA (Res), the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit of 1503rd Community Defense Center,15th RCDG, RCPA, 15th Regional Community Defense Group successfully conducted its second training day on September 5, 2026.

The formation started with the checking of attendance. The main activity of the day was a lecture on “Standard Conduct of a Soldier,” which was thoroughly discussed by Cdt. Lt. Col. Christian Li M. Valentin (ROTC) 1CL, Corps Commander. He outlined the principles, standards, and criteria of conduct expected of a soldier in a professional and ethical manner. After the lecture, the cadets were oriented on the online enrollment procedure. The formation was further honored by the visit of the 1503rd CDC Director, Lt. Col. Rodel C. Bayon GSC (MI) PA, whose presence on campus underscored the unit’s strong institutional support and commitment to excellence.

With the dedicated assistance of the advance officers, Graduate Military Assistants, and the on-duty UDRRM Responders, the formation proceeded smoothly and efficiently. Through their attentive participation and disciplined conduct, the cadets upheld the high standards expected of military students and brought pride to the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus. Their performance once again reinforced the unit’s strong commitment to excellence, service, and institutional pride.

• Minimize the use of makeup, lipstick, and lip tint during formation.
• Remove all earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and watches.
• Empty your pockets; any items found will be confiscated.
• Uniform must be tucked in.
• Nails must be trimmed properly.
• Hide your shoelaces inside your shoes.

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 | 𝙎𝙉𝙎𝙐 𝙈𝘼𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝘼𝙈𝙋𝙐𝙎 𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙄𝘾𝙄𝙋𝘼𝙏𝙀𝘿 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 56𝙏𝙃 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙀𝙍 𝘿𝘼𝙔 𝘾𝙀𝙇𝙀𝘽𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉

The Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit, under the 1503rd Community Defense Center,15th RCDG, RCPA, 15th Regional Community Defense Group and with the continuous hands-on guidance of Commandant Lt. Col. Romel C. De La Cruz PA (Res), actively and proudly participated in the 56th Charter Day celebration on the 31st of August 2026.

During the whole occasion, the Advance ROTC cadets served as crowd controllers to help and support the marching band while also being able to assist the parade. With the help of the UDRRM Responders, the unit was able to help and support the attendees as well as participants of the event to ensure that everyone's safety is prioritized and well monitored in order for the celebration to smoothly proceed.

Through their disciplined and professional behavior, the cadets maintained the high standards expected of military students and gave pride to the Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus. Their performance once again reinforced the unit’s strong commitment to excellence, service, and institutional pride.

𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲 | 1𝑺𝑻 𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑫𝑨𝒀

The Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit under 1503rd Community Defense Center,15th RCDG, RCPA, 15th Regional Community Defense Group and the hands-on guidance of the Commandant, LTC ROMEL C DE LA CRUZ PA (RES), successfully conducted its first training day for the first semester of A.Y. 2026-2027 on August 29, 2026.

LTC DE LA CRUZ delivered a clear and insightful discussion on the proper conduct expected of military personnel and the importance of upholding high standards of integrity, responsibility, discipline, and professionalism at all times, both during training and in future service to the nation. He then introduced 2LT JAYMARK A ANCLA (SC) PA, pride of SNSU Main Campus ROTC Unit and a graduate of Officer Candidate School (OCS).

2LT ANCLA talked about his experiences and insights as a military person. He was able to provide the ROTC cadets with meaningful discussion about Military Courtesy and Discipline in the armed forces and military government that are required for building good relationships, effective leadership, and unit cohesion.

Finally, the First Class Officers, led by CDT LTC CHRISTIAN LI M VALENTIN, Corps Commander, conducted a thorough and structured evaluation for the aspiring advance ROTC officers, carefully assessing their knowledge, readiness, bearing, and overall performance. The presence of the Graduate Military Assistants and the on-duty UDRRM Responders also helped ensure a productive, well-organized, and meaningful training day that left a strong positive impression on the participants and reinforced the unit’s dedication to excellence and continuous improvement.

On 22 August 2026, Surigao del Norte State University Main Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its ROTC Orientation and First Formation. The event marked an important milestone for the incoming cadets as they formally began their journey and be part of the SNSU Main Campus ROTC Unit, highlighting the institution’s commitment to developing disciplined and responsible young leaders.

The formation commenced with a comprehensive discussion led by LTC ROMEL C DE LA CRUZ PA (RES). He shared valuable insights into the rich history of the ROTC program, explaining its origins and the vital role it has played in nation-building. LTC DE LA CRUZ then formally introduced the set of officers who would guide the cadets, including the First Class (1CL) and Second Class (2CL) advance officers as well as the Graduate Military Assistants. He also carefully presented the various military stakes and clearly outlined the essential rules and regulations that must be strictly observed during all formations and training activities.

Following the discussion, the cadets were systematically organized into their respective platoon with the active assistance of the Advanced ROTC officers and Graduate Military Assistants. This orderly process ensured that every cadet was properly assigned and prepared for the succeeding training sessions, allowing the entire orientation and first formation to proceed smoothly and efficiently.
