Rizal College of Taal ROTC Unit Successfully Conducts 6th Training Day

On September 6, 2026, the Rizal College of Taal ROTC Unit conducted its 6th Training Day for ROTC MS-1, School Year 2026โ€“2027. The activity was led by the Training Staff headed by 1LT JOSE R MATULAC, PA (RES), Assistant Commandant, together with Three (3) Tactical NCOs, supported by Nine (9) 1CL Cadet Officers and Twenty-Nine (29) 2CL Cadet Officers under the supervision of MAJ GERONIMO D VERGARA (INF), PA, ROTC Commandant.

The training began with the preparation and Entrance of Colors, followed by the Philippine National Anthem, prayer, Awit Kawal, and Pilipinas Kong Mahal. The cadets then proceeded with drill exercises focusing on patakda, harap-harapan, kaliwa at kanang panig, and pasamasid. The COQC underwent additional training on turns, pasamasid, squad formation, and command procedures.

After a short break, the cadets attended lectures. C/CPT KEN TRISTAN M GARAN, 1CL discussed Basic Formation, Movement and Techniques, while C/CPT VAN LEIGHTON E CRUZ, 1CL discussed Squad Formation. Nine (9) 2CL Cadet Officers also conducted an SUT demonstration to show the proper positions, movements, and responsibilities during tactical operations.

A question-and-answer session and quiz were conducted to assess the cadets' understanding of the lessons. The training concluded with the Battalion Formation for attendance and final formation.

A total of 165 Basic Cadets, composed of 119 (Male) Cadets and 46 (Female) Cadettes, participated in the training. The activity was led by Corps Commander C/CPT RITZKENT RUSSEL C DE ROXAS, 1CL, and officially concluded at 1200H.

FACILITATORS:
All Training Staff / School Administration and Staff assisted by Cadet Officers of RCT ROTCU.

ATTIRE (Basic Cadets):
Plain White Shirt, Maong Pants, Garrison Belt, Black Socks, Rubber Shoes. Plain White Sando Inner (Ladies)

NEAT APPEARANCE IS A MUST.

WHAT TO BRING:
Water, Pack lunch, White Handkerchief, Tickler, Ballpen.

PROPER GROOMING:
For Male:
No facial hair (goatee, mustache, beard)
No accessories
Proper haircut
Dyed hair is prohibited
Nails must be trimmed

For Female:
No make-up
No accessories
Military bun with black hairnet
Dyed hair is prohibited
Nails must be trimmed, no nail polish
No hair accessories (headbands/fancy hairpins)

REMINDERS:
1. All participants must take breakfast before attending.
2. Basic Cadets must have enough rest, sleep early, and hydrate in preparation for the activities.
3. Haircut for Male (1-0) / Ponytail with hairnet for Female.
4. Attendance is a must.
5. Bring your own food/snacks and water.
6. Going out during lunchtime is not allowed, so you should bring your own food.

PAGGUNITA SA ARAW NG MGA BAYANI

Ngayong araw, ating ginugunita ang Araw ng mga Bayani bilang pagbibigay pugay at pagkilala sa lahat ng mga bayaning Pilipino na nag alay ng kanilang tapang, lakas, at sakripisyo para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bansa.

Taos puso rin nating kinikilala ang ating mga makabagong bayani ang mga magsasaka, g**o, manggagawa, kawani, at bawat Pilipinong patuloy na nagsusumikap at naglilingkod nang tapat para sa kanilang pamilya, komunidad, at bayan.

Rizal College of Taal ROTC Unit Successfully Conducts 5th Training Day

On August 30, 2026, the Rizal College of Taal ROTC Unit conducted its training day for ROTC MS-1, School Year 2026โ€“2027. The activity was organized and led by the Training Staff, headed by 1LT JOSE R. MATULAC, PA (RES), Tactical Officer, together with Three (3) Tactical NCOs. They were supported by Three (3) 1CL Cadet Officers and Thirty-two (32) 2CL Cadet Officers under the supervision of MAJ GERONIMO D VERGARA (INF), PA, ROTC Commandant.

The activity commenced with a Cadet Officer Inspection and a formal Flag Ceremony, followed by the Panatang Makabayan, Awit Kawal, and Pilipinas Kong Mahal. Immediately after the preliminaries, attendance was checked to account for all participating personnel.
The training proceeded with Basic Drills on the grounds to hone the discipline and military bearing of the cadets. Afterward, the corps moved to the 3rd floor for the lecture phase. The Army Core Philosophy was discussed by C/2LT JHON PAUL M BALASBAS 2CL and C/2LT BRYELLE M CAPANANG 2CL, while the Military Justice System was presented by C/2LT HANA JANE B SENDON 2CL, and a specialized lecture covering Disrespect, Insubordination, Muting, and Articles was delivered by C/2LT DIANNE BERJA 2CL,with active participation from the cadets throughout the discussions.

A total of 132 Basic Cadets actively participated in the training, composed of 39 female cadettes and 93 male cadets. The training was conducted under the leadership of Executive Officer C/CPT VAN LEIGHTON E. CRUZ 1CL
