𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒| 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿

The first day of SIGLAKAS 2026 officially kicked off on October 26 with an opening program held at the field of PIT-Main Campus.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Henrh Mar B. Laureno emphasized that the gathering was not just about sports but also about fostering unity and strengthening the bonds among members of the campus community. He highlighted that everyone has their own talents and abilities in sports, encouraging participants to celebrate one another’s victories, appreciate the achievements of others, and wholeheartedly accept each other for who they are.

Following the opening remarks, each participating team delivered an entertaining cheer, representing COMED, CAS, CTE, LNHS PIT, COTE, and PIT-TC.

The program continued with the introduction of the Board of Adjudicators by Dr. Nelson N. Enage, followed by a special production number performed by the dancers of PIT-Main.

The event then proceeded with a lively unity dance, bringing everyone together in a celebration of camaraderie and solidarity.

The opening program concluded with the much-anticipated bench yell competition, during which each group showcased its talent, creativity, and unique style through synchronized movements and spirited cheers.

Despite the rain, the opening program of SIGLAKAS 2026 ended on a joyful, vibrant, and energetic note, reflecting the participants’ enthusiasm and commitment to making the event a memorable celebration of sportsmanship and unity.

𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 | Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) formally commenced the first day of Siglakas Games 2026 with a Thanksgiving Mass at the PIT Basketball Court today, October 26, 2026, gathering the institution's students from different fields, faculty members, and officials in a moment of prayer, gratitude, and reflection before the much-awaited sports festivities this week.

𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐑 | The delegates of PIT Tabango for the SIGLAKAS 2026 have finally arrived at Palompon Institute of Technology Main Campus.

Athletes together with the coaches and staff are now ready for the 5-day sports competition. After weeks of practice and conditioning of their body, it is finally the time to showcase their talents and skills in their respective sports.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒| The PIT-Tabango delegates extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Municipality of Tabango, Leyte, through Hon. Mayor Maria Corazon Remandaban and Hon. Vice Mayor Bernard Jonathan Remandaban, for providing caps to each athlete competing in SIGLAKAS 2026. The distribution took place at the PIT Tabango Multi-Purpose Covered Court on October 26.

The generous gesture of the municipal officials aims to show their support and encouragement for the young athletes who will represent PIT Tabango in SIGLAKAS 2026, which runs from this afternoon until Friday at PIT-Main Campus.

The athletes gladly received the caps, recognizing them as a meaningful gesture of support from their local government officials as they prepare to compete and represent their campus.

The PIT Tabango delegates sincerely thank the Municipality of Tabango for its generosity and continued support for its student-athletes.

The time has come to showcase your talent, strength, determination, and sportsmanship as you represent the Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) Tabango Campus in SIGLAKAS 2026!

As you step onto the playing field, remember that you carry more than your skills and abilities, you carry the pride, spirit, and unity of the entire PIT Tabango community. Give your best, trust your training, support your teammates, and compete with honor and integrity.

Win or lose, what matters most is the courage to take on the challenge, the discipline to push beyond your limits, and the sportsmanship to respect every opponent. Wear your colors with pride and let your dedication speak louder than words.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿!

Years of building stories and serving people with the truth, yet something's just amiss. Oh, that's right! We're missing a face!

Every brand has its logo, and every company has their trademark, and that's what we're missing.But no fear because our team has found (or shall I say built) one, and it comes with a hard hat, buck teeth, and a newly sharpened pencil.

Meet Justin Beaver, the first-ever official mascot of The Builder.

Now before you wonder, who is Justin?

Justin is an extraordinary beaver wondering why instead of building dams like other beavers, he prefers sitting out in a corner building headlines and articles. He doesn't really like carrying twigs but he has no problem handling a pencil all afternoon. Most of all, he is allergic to fake news.

Why a beaver?Beavers, as a matter of fact, are nature's engineers. They don't rely on others to do things for them. They just build, quietly and in unity. They never leave a work half done. These traits are what The Builder embodies.

He represents every member of the team who believes that the truth needs a strong foundation. He is diligent and persevering. Just like us, he chews through every obstacle like it's a piece of wood. Writer's block, deadlines, and exhaustion—Justin chomps them down and keeps building.

But more than just a mascot, Justin serves as a reminder that the articles we write are cement, the photos we take are bricks, and the headlines posted are walls to every floor we continue to build.

From now on, you'll be seeing more from Justin. He'll be helping us deliver news, peek at the corners of our page, and maybe cheer on with us at any events.

So say hi to Justin and welcome him with us!

𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺

Every day, we see people working diligently to keep our surroundings clean and beautiful—a man in a red cap turns his attention to the fallen leaves at his feet. With both hands on a long-handled broom, he sweeps beside a narrow drainage channel, tending the ground surrounded by plants.

Although his job may seem simple, his efforts make a meaningful difference in the community. His work reminds us that cleanliness is everyone's responsibility and that even small actions can create a better environment for all.

The scene invites us to look beyond a tidy space and notice the effort that helps maintain it. This also teaches us to appreciate their hard work, respect every kind of profession, and never underestimate the value of simple acts of service.

In preparation for the SIGLAKAS 2026, PIT Tabango held a meeting last October 19, 2026 at the PIT Tabango Multi-purpose Covered Court.

Headed by Dr. Christian Caben M. Larisma, Sports Director, together with the coaches and athletes gathered last Monday for an important coordination meeting focused on the upcoming SIGLAKAS 2026. The session covered essential reminders, logistical updates, and key announcements to ensure a smooth and successful run of the sporting event. Topics include the room assignments, finalization for the list of athletes, and most importantly, Mr. Larisma emphasized the importance of the parents consent for the event.

Coaches and athletes expressed their commitment to the upcoming competition, leaving the meeting more confident and unified. With preparations laid out, everyone is set and ready to give their best at SIGLAKAS 2026!
