Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9163 (NSTP Act of 2001), ROTC cadets are trained to become disciplined, prepared, and responsible citizens.

Through earthquake drills and disaster preparedness activities, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit strengthens its readiness to respond during emergencies and contributes to building safer and more resilient communities.

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬, 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪

On 180900H June 2026, members of the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit actively participated in the Earthquake Drill conducted to enhance disaster preparedness, emergency response capabilities, and safety awareness among cadets and personnel.

The activity provided participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in observing proper earthquake safety procedures, including the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique, orderly evacuation protocols, and accountability measures during emergency situations. Through the simulation exercise, cadets demonstrated discipline, alertness, and teamwork in responding to potential disaster scenarios.

The drill served as an important reminder of the significance of preparedness and the vital role that every individual plays in ensuring safety during emergencies. It also reinforced the importance of maintaining composure, following established protocols, and working collectively to minimize risks and protect lives.

Through its participation in disaster preparedness initiatives, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit continues to develop responsible, resilient, and service-oriented cadets who are capable of responding effectively to emergencies and contributing to community safety and resilience.

On 130800H June 2026, the Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Officer (S7) of the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit, together with the Assistant CMO Officer, attended the CMO Family Forum aimed at enhancing awareness on contemporary issues affecting national security, information integrity, and public consciousness.

The forum provided valuable discussions on the influence of media and information platforms in shaping public perception and how these can be utilized to advance or undermine national interests. Participants were also briefed on the increasing presence and expansion of foreign business interests within the Philippines and their implications on the country's economic and strategic landscape.

Furthermore, the forum tackled current developments concerning the West Philippine Sea, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty, promoting informed citizenship, and strengthening patriotism among Filipino youth.

The activity served as an avenue for meaningful dialogue, critical awareness, and the exchange of perspectives on issues of national significance. It further reinforced the commitment of the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit to develop responsible cadet leaders who are well-informed, vigilant, and dedicated to the service of the nation.

On 120900H June 2026, cadets of the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit actively participated in the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day held at the Veterans Marker, Kalawag I, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

As part of the commemorative program, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit rendered foyer services during the event, assisting in the reception and guidance of guests, dignitaries, government officials, uniformed personnel, and other participants. Through their professionalism, discipline, and military bearing, the cadets contributed to the orderly conduct and overall success of the celebration.

The activity served as a meaningful opportunity for the cadets to demonstrate the values of service, responsibility, and patriotism while honoring the sacrifices and heroism of the Filipino people who fought for the nation's freedom and sovereignty.

The celebration highlighted the importance of preserving the legacy of the nation's heroes and fostering a deeper sense of civic responsibility among the youth. It also reinforced the role of ROTC in developing disciplined, service-oriented, and patriotic future leaders committed to nation-building.

On 120900H June 2026, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit proudly participated in the celebration of the 128th Araw ng Kalayaan held at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, Sultan Kudarat, through the presentation of a Silent Drill.

The activity was conducted under the guidance of LTC LITO B MAGHUYOP (INF) PA, Commandant, and Sgt HENRY L AGUILAR (INF) PA, Chief Clerk, in the presence of COL ANTHONY O SAMONTE (ARM) GSC PA, Group Commander, 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG).

The participating cadets demonstrated exceptional discipline, precision, coordination, and teamwork through synchronized drill movements. The presentation highlighted the values of leadership, commitment, and excellence that are instilled within every ROTC cadet while paying tribute to the sacrifices and heroism of those who fought for the nation's freedom.

As the nation commemorates its independence, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit reaffirms its commitment to patriotism, service, and nation-building. Through activities that showcase military bearing, unity, and discipline, the unit continues to develop future leaders who embody the ideals of honor, integrity, and selfless service.

On 010800H June 2026 at 0800H, members of the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 program as part of their continuing commitment to community service and civic responsibility.

The activity was conducted under the guidance of Sgt HENRY L AGUILAR (INF) PA, Chief Clerk. The activity brought together cadet officers and cadets in a collective effort to assist in the preparation of school facilities for the opening of School Year 2026–2027. Participants rendered voluntary service through various clean-up and maintenance tasks, contributing to the improvement of the learning environment and ensuring that school grounds were safe, orderly, and conducive to education.

Throughout the activity, the cadets displayed discipline, teamwork, initiative, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Their active involvement reflected the ROTC program's mission of developing young leaders who are not only prepared for national service but are also responsive to the needs of their communities.

The SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit continues to uphold its dedication to nation-building by supporting programs that promote volunteerism, community engagement, and public service. Through meaningful activities such as Brigada Eskwela, the unit remains steadfast in fostering leadership, civic consciousness, and service excellence among its cadets.

On 300800H May 2026, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit participated in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Forum for the 2nd Quarter, CY 2026, held at the Headquarters, 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, Purok Paraiso, Kalawag I, IsulanOn 300800 May 2026, the SKSU-ACCESS ROTC Unit participated in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Forum for the 2nd Quarter, CY 2026, held at the Headquarters, 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, Purok Paraiso, Kalawag I, Isulan , Sultan Kudarat.

The Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) – ACCESS Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit successfully held the Joint Graduation Ceremony of Basic and Advance ROTC Cadets for School Year 2025–2026 on 𝟭𝟵 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the SKSU Gymnasium. The prestigious milestone also featured the formal Change of Command, symbolizing the smooth transition of authority and leadership within the Corps of Cadets.

𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗫 𝗖 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢𝗦 (𝗔𝗥𝗠) 𝗚𝗦𝗖 𝗣𝗔, Deputy Commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Armor Division, PA, graced the event as the official representative of 𝗕𝗚𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗥 𝗩 𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗭𝗖𝗢 𝗣𝗔, Commander, who was designated as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS).

The ceremony was also attended and supervised by 𝗟𝗧𝗖 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗢 𝗕 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗛𝗨𝗬𝗢𝗣 (𝗜𝗡𝗙) 𝗣𝗔, Commandant of the 1202nd Community Defense Center (1202CDC), alongside the unit's Chief Clerk, 𝗦𝗴𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝘆 𝗟 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿 (𝗜𝗻𝗳) 𝗣𝗔, ensuring the formal and orderly conduct of the military proceedings.

The program showcased the graduating cadets’ 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, and deep sense of 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 gained through rigorous training and character formation. This milestone not only celebrates their successful completion of the course but also reinforces SKSU-ACCESS’s enduring commitment to molding capable, duty-bound leaders ready to serve the community and the nation with 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 and 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
