The "E.A.T" trio, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, won their trademark cancellation lawsuit against Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

This follows after the IPOPHL approved TAPE's request in August of last year to renew the trademark "Eat Bulaga!" and its emblem for a period of 10 years.

The IPOPHL stated in its ruling on December 4, 2023 that TVJ "successfully established" that they are the ones who came up with the "Eat Bulaga" mark.
