The University of Bohol had a meaningful meeting with COL. George I. Ceniza, Provincial Director (District Climate Commander) of the Climate Change Task Force – Bohol Provincial Command, appointed by Hon. Albert P. Dela Cruz Sr. of the Climate Change Commission.

As the primary liaison of the Office of the President for the implementation of RA 9729 (Climate Change Act) and other environmental laws in Bohol, COL. Ceniza shared key directions and priorities for strengthening the province’s climate response.

Representing UB were Dr. Leah [Dean, Graduate School & Dean of Research] and Mr. Mehul Dabhi, Senior Research Associate. The meeting explored possible collaborations in research, capacity building, and evidence-based programs to enhance climate resilience and sustainability efforts in Bohol.

We look forward to stronger partnerships between government and academe because responding to the climate crisis requires both science and collective action.
