SLSU-JGE Tagkawayan ROTC Unit proudly congratulates its Graduate Military Assistants for successfully completing the 7-Day Drill Master Training Seminar conducted at Quezon National High School from 01–07 June 2026.

The Drill Master Training Seminar is designed to develop competent ROTC instructors and leaders by strengthening discipline, enhancing leadership and instructional capabilities, and promoting excellence in military drills and ceremonies.

"Leadership is built through training, proven through service, and passed on through unity"

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the SLSU-JGE Tagkawayan ROTC Unit conducted the Advance and Basic ROTC Commencement Exercises Class 2025–2026, coupled with the Activation of the School-Based Ready Reserve Unit at the SLSU-JGE Covered Court.

The program opened with the arrival of our distinguished Guest of Honor and Speaker, COL NORLEO G ADDULAM OS (GSC) PA, Director of the 404th Quezon CDC, 4RCDG PA. The solemnity of the occasion was marked by the Entrance of Colors, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem through an AVP presentation, and a heartfelt Invocation led by Ptr. Allan P. Lazala.

More than a program, this event is a reminder that discipline, commitment, and love for country continue to grow in every SLSU–JGE cadet. Congratulations to all graduates and to the newly activated Ready Reserve Unit. The mission continues.

“Leadership continues through preparation, discipline, and the passing of responsibility from one generation of cadets to another.”

On Sunday, May 10, 2026, the SLSU–JGE Tagkawayan ROTC Unit conducted its 15th Training Day, which focused on the preparation and practice for the upcoming ROTC Graduation and Turnover Ceremony of the Corps Commander.

The activity highlighted the transition of leadership from the outgoing Battalion Commander, C/COL JORIELD THRISTAN F MALABANA 1CL, to the incoming Corps Commander, C/CPT MILDRED B CAGANDA 2CL, symbolizing continuity, dedication, and commitment to service within the ROTC organization.

The training and rehearsals were conducted in the presence of LTC REX MICHAEL S ACANA (RET) PA, ROTC Commandant, PROF. RASELIETO B. GARCIA, NSTP Coordinator, SGT JOAS R MORENO PA (RES), Operational NCO, and PVT JUSTINE M RIVERA PA (RES), whose guidance and supervision ensured the smooth preparation for the said ceremony.

This activity reflects the ROTC unit’s commitment to developing disciplined, responsible, and capable cadet leaders who are ready to continue the mission and uphold the values of the organization.

“Precision in communication and excellence in performance define the final steps of a cadet’s journey.”

On Sunday, the Southern Luzon State University – Judge Guillermo Eleazar ROTC Unit (SLSU–JGE ROTCU) successfully conducted its 13th and 14th Training Day, culminating in the Final Examination of the semester.

The activity commenced with a Flag Raising Ceremony, followed by a Rank Inspection, reinforcing discipline, proper bearing, and uniformity among cadets. This was succeeded by a lecture on Military Correspondence, facilitated by C/CPT CJ ARON B RAMOS 2CL and C/CPT JIMUEL M RIVERA 2CL, which emphasized the importance of clear, formal, and effective communication within military operations.

The training concluded with the Final Examination, where cadets demonstrated their knowledge, understanding, and overall learning gained throughout the training period.

This milestone reflects the cadets’ dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence—proving their readiness to carry forward the values of discipline, leadership, and service instilled by the ROTC program.
