"History of Triskelion Handshake"
We all know that our fraternity was founded in the year 1968, by that time our elders greeted thier fellow Triskelion in a normal gesture of every Filipino, smiling at each other and taping the back as our act of saluting each other from 1968 to 1975. Until such time it was created by Brother Mike Molino of UST chapter (march 1, 1971 UST was founded).
Brother Mike Molino was a former Grand Triskelion Of UST in 1975, according to him it was a mystery, early morning of JULY 7, at exactly 3am, he was thinking on how we Triskelion salute each other by performing a handshake, he mentioned that other fraternity was greeting each other horizontally, he need to think other way which is related to our SEAL that will somehow form a triangle which will be pointing up to GOD, our father.
At that moment he suddenly saw a small Sto. Niño which was a gift to him. Looking at the hand of Sto. Niño he got an idea of creating our handshake, he added that our thumb is the strongest in our hand which represents FORTIS and it will be interlocked to the remaining fingers to show UNITY and to always remember our Tenets no. 8.
He even added recently that we can perform it by eithier our right hand or left hand!
Added fact, Triskelion handshake is a courtesy given by a Triskelion to his fellow Triskelion only.
