Today, the Institute of Psychology successfully conducted the Trauma Skills Training Workshop for Mental Health Professionals together with the Academic Heads, Faculty, and Staff.
Through this meaningful initiative, participants deepened their understanding of trauma-informed mental health care, psychological assessment, emotional regulation interventions, and compassionate clinical practice. The workshop also featured a Trauma Releasing Exercise (TRE) session facilitated by Peggie Gan, invited by our main speaker, Dr. Lourdes C. Medina, PhD, BCETS, PD, ADS, to further promote self-awareness, resilience, and holistic well-being among helping professionals.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Medina for sharing her expertise and valuable insights that empowered participants to become more responsive, ethical, and compassionate mental health practitioners.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, this workshop reflects the University of Makatiβs commitment to fostering mental wellness, professional excellence, and service to the community through its core values of integrity, competence, and compassion. π
