The newly-formed Eagles Cheering Squad of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), under Danzante de USeP, captured the championship title at the 32nd Araw ng Barangay Apokon Inter-School Cheerdance Competition on September 15, 2025, at the Barangay Apokon Gymnasium.

With clean choreography and flawless stunts, the Eagles stood out among strong contenders from Tagum City National Trade School (TCNTS), STI College Tagum, and North Davao College (NDC). Judges also awarded them Best in Choreography, highlighting the creative direction of choreographer Archievard Claro.

Behind the victory was the steady guidance of Maโ€™am Rizane Lui, adviser of Danzante de USeP, whose mentorship shaped the discipline and artistry of the team. Equally instrumental was John Lerry Misa, who provided consistent support in cosmetics, helping the squad achieve a polished and professional look on stage.

The success was further strengthened by the USeP staff and community members, whose cheers and unwavering encouragement energized the performers and carried them through the competition.

This championship stands as a powerful debut for the Eagles Cheering Squad, marking the beginning of a new legacy in USePโ€™s tradition of excellence in both performance and school spirit.

The University of Southeastern Philippines, Tagum-Mabini Campus, Tagum Unit, officially took part in the opening ceremony of the 32nd Araw ng Barangay Apokon, held on September 15, 2025, at the Barangay Apokon Cultural and Sports Center. This year's theme is โ€œPaghiusa ug Kauswagan: Apokon Padayon para sa Kaugmaon.โ€

Present at the ceremony were USeP TMC Chancellor Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, along with faculty, staff, and students from the Tagum Unit, all showing their support for the celebration. One of the highlights of the opening activities was the cheerleading competition open category, where the USeP TMC Tagum Unit Cheerdance Team showcased a well-prepared and spirited performance.

The USeP TMC Tagum Unit Cheerdance Team emerged as the champion, bringing honor and recognition to the USeP community.

The weeklong celebration will include various activities, culminating on September 20, 2025, with the Educatorsโ€™ and Health Care Providersโ€™ Night, in which personnel from USeP TMC Tagum Unit will also participate.

The Eagles Cheering Squad of Danzante de USeP ends this journey with a grateful heart as we celebrate our 1st Runner-Up finish at the MILO Marathon Cheerleading Competition held at New City Hall of Tagum Grounds. Alongside this, we are honored to have also bagged the award for Biggest Delegation 2nd Runner-Up, a true testament to the unity and spirit of our team and community. Truly, this is the living spirit of !

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our adviser, Mrs. Rizane B. Lui, for her constant guidance and encouragement that inspired us to give our very best. We also sincerely thank Mr. John Lerry Misa for his invaluable assistance and creativity as our make-up artist, helping us confidently take the stage.
