On October 15, 2025, the BTC College Department, in collaboration with the Grade 10 and Grade 11 STEM students, held an Information and Orientation Day to raise awareness on important social and legal issues.

The symposium began with Pat. Shandy Evangelista as the first speaker, who discussed Republic Act 8049 (Anti-Hazing Law), Crime Prevention, and Alcohol and Drug Prevention. His talk provided valuable knowledge about the laws that promote student safety and responsibility.

The second speaker, Mrs. Ellen Arquita-Magallanes, the GAD Focal Person, presented an orientation on CHED Memorandum Order No. 3, Series of 2022, highlighting the Gender and Sexual Harassment Guidelines.

In the afternoon, the discussion continued with Mrs. Janine Ivy Maestre addressing Teenage Pregnancy Prevention, followed by Ms. Imperatriz Laride, who shared insights on HIV Awareness. The program concluded with Ms. Eda Louise Escabosa, who emphasized the importance of Mental Health Awareness.

The symposium ended successfully, leaving students well-informed and more aware of the issues that affect their lives and community.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT on Mr. and Ms. Social Media Award

The Mr. and Ms. Social Media Award will be determined based on the total number of social media interactions (Facebook LOVE and CARE reactions only) received on the official candidate portraits. The final count will be taken on the day of the event at exactly 8:30 AM.

We recognize that, despite our best efforts, we cannot fully control acts of cheating such as the use of autolikes or other artificial methods of gaining reactions. However, it must be stressed that the responsibility lies in the hands of the candidates and their supporters to ensure fairness and to stop such practices.

This award is intended to celebrate authentic support and engagement. We trust that every candidate, together with their parents and supporters, will uphold integrity by choosing what is right over what is convenient.

The true goal of this recognition is to acknowledge the candidate who earns the greatest number of genuine reactions. Let us all work together to keep the spirit of this competition meaningful, fair, and honorable.
