Today, September 23, 2024, the Supreme Student Government of JRMSU-Tampilisan gathered at the Campus Director's office for a courtesy call. The purpose of this meeting was to engage in a productive discussion about significant and concerning topics affecting the student body.

𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭!

𝗠𝗿. 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟰.𝟮𝟱𝗠 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝗣𝗖𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗗 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱

Focusing on Farm Evaluation and Mapping of Hybrid Coconut in Region IX led by Mr. Alfredo Q. Liboon Jr., their proposed project has received a ₱4.25 million research funding from DOST-PCAARRD after the scrutiny of the technical panel today, August 20, 2024.

The funding will support crucial research on hybrid coconut varieties, focusing on their growth, productivity, and optimal planting areas in Region IX. This project aims to advance coconut production and support local farmers.

“I am thankful for this chance, as this project will serve as a crucial step for a wider adoption and utilization of hybrid coconuts, leading towards sustainable, increased productive and income of farmers in the Region,” Mr. Liboon emphasized. “Grabe kakulba. Gusto na lang ko mahimong bukong,” he jokingly added.

Together in this project are Dr. Merlyn N. Luza, Prof. Yhebron J. Lagud, Dr. Domely E. Tortola, Engr. Karlfred Junnee A. Doydora, Mr. Lorymer Jauculan as project members.

JRMSU-TC takes pride in this achievement and congratulates Mr. Liboon and his team for their significant contribution to advancing coconut production.

𝗦𝗦𝗚 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗥𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗧𝗖 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗦

August 19, 2024—The Supreme Student Government (SSG), in collaboration with the Student Affairs and Services, conducted a school supplies distribution program titled "Tabang sa Studyante: Gamit sa Skwela Giving" at JRMSU-TC Laboratory High School.

Forty-three out of fifty recipients from Grades 7-10 were present to receive the school supplies through the program. "Ang tabang nagagikan sa kasingkasing, so we, the SSG, commit to help the high school department," said Mr. Joseph Ruiz, the SSG Adviser.

"Improve yourselves and become better students," added Mr. Keir A. Balasa, the LHS Chairperson, emphasizing that students can achieve their goals if they serve according to their purpose.

"I'm really thankful that the SSG gave us some school supplies. I, myself, didn't have any because of tight money, and I really hope that this will happen again next time so that more students can hear about it and receive free supplies, which could make our school more popular," stated one of the student recipients.

This program, held together with the faculty of JRMSU-TC Laboratory High School, was a success. It not only highlighted the spirit of giving but also reflected the compassion, commitment, and service of every Ilustrado.

𝐇𝐮𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐰 𝐈𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐬!

𝗝𝗥𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Jose Rizal Memorial State University-Tampilisan Campus officially opened the Academic Year 2024-2025 with "Hugyaw Ilustrados!" program, held at the campus mini-gym. The program brought together students, faculty, and staff for a celebration of new beginnings and academic spirit.

The event kicked off early with participants assembling for a campus-wide parade. Representatives from various student groups and colleges, including ROTC, Supreme Student Government (SSG), and different departments, showcased their enthusiasm and school pride.

Upon entering the venue, the program began with a grand entrance featuring key university officials, students, faculty, and administrative staff. Then, the event’s formalities followed—setting a dignified tone for the ceremony.

The introduction of colleges, each accompanied by spirited yells, energized the crowd and highlighted the unity and diversity within the campus. Dr. Gemarie E. Baquiller, Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Services, warmly welcomed everyone and thanked them for choosing JRMSU-Tampilisan as their university.

Meanwhile, Dr. Merlyn N. Luza, the Campus Director, delivered an inspiring message highlighting some of the university's previous achievements.

Moreover, the Top 3 highest entrance exam takers were also recognized, namely: Nick B. Campasas from the School of Criminal Justice Education (SCJE) garnering an average of 96%, Marife C. Cabalida from the College of Teacher Education (CTEd) with 96%, and Maristilla A. Turtor also from SCJE with an average of 95%.

Then, an important announcement from the Student Electoral Commission (SELECOM) followed, leading into the closing remarks by Joeseff P. Ruiz, SSG Adviser, who officially concluded the event.

Overall, "Hugyaw Ilustrados!" not only marked the start of a new academic year but also a celebration of community, achievement, and the collective spirit that defines JRMSU-Tampilisan.
