✨ MathREADY Training Program: Another Journey Continues ✨

The MathREADY Training Program presents “Interpreting Assessment Evidence for Mathematics Instruction: Automated Item and Error Analysis Dashboard,” a session focused on helping future Mathematics educators look beyond scores and uncover what assessment data reveals about learner understanding.

Assessment is more than a score. A class average may tell us how learners performed, but item results and error patterns help us see where learners struggle, what they misunderstand, and what needs attention.

From scores to evidence. One step closer to becoming data-informed Mathematics educators. 💙

What does it truly mean to communicate in an ESL classroom? 🤔

Through her 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 talk, “𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗦𝗟 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺,” 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗙. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮, an English licensed Professional Teacher currently serving as Teacher III, School Information Officer, and Learning and Development Coordinator at San Pedro National High School, painted us a realistic picture of what it means to be a communicatively competent educator.

Her expertise and passion for building students’ critical thinking and communication skills were evident as she shared practical strategies on how educators can connect with a classroom full of differences, move across boundaries, and become more emotionally aware through language learning.

She emphasized that communication in an ESL classroom goes beyond fluency. It calls for understanding, empathy, and awareness of the internal and external factors that shape our students’ engagement and learning. Through this talk, the English Majors gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for becoming more emotionally and meaningfully aware in practicing communication as future educators.

The FAITH Teachers’ League proudly kicked off its first-ever EducSeries for academic year 2026-2027 last September 2 at Multi-Purpose Hall, entitled “Communicate to Educate: Enhancing Communicative Competence in ESL Classroom”

Gathered for a meaningful and enriching session, the English Majors explored effective communication strategies, classroom interaction techniques, and approaches that promote active learner participation in their future classrooms.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Ms. Mariane Claire F. Malagamba of San Pedro National High School for sharing her valuable insights and expertise, deepening our future educators’ understanding of communicative competence in English Language Teaching.
