Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) celebrates the achievement of its Bachelor of Science in Forestry graduates in the Professional Forester Licensure Examination (PFLE), recording a 75.86% institutional passing rate, up from 69.23% last year.
The 6.63-percentage-point increase reflects the continuing efforts of the college, particularly the Department of Forestry, to prepare students for professional practice and the demands of the forestry sector.
First-time takers posted an 81.82% passing rate, while retakers recorded 57.14%. TAUโs overall passing rate of 75.86% also stood above the national passing rate of 74.31%.
CAF Dean Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo expressed her happiness over the results and commended the Department of Forestry and its faculty members for their dedication to helping students achieve their goals.
โI am very happy, and congratulations to the Department of Forestry because they exerted a lot of effort to achieve their goal of reaching a passing rate above their target. I am very proud of the students as well as the faculty. I would like to commend them for pushing the students to hurdle the board exam, and I appreciate their efforts,โ Dr. Estudillo said.
Meanwhile, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson likewise congratulated the graduates and faculty members for their contributions to the Universityโs performance. He emphasized the importance of sustained efforts to provide quality education and develop graduates equipped with the knowledge and competencies required in their respective professions.
The achievement highlights the role of forestry education in preparing future professionals to help address environmental challenges and promote the responsible management of forest resources.
As TAU continues to strengthen its academic programs, the improved passing rate underscores the value of collaboration between students and faculty in pursuing academic excellence and preparing graduates for meaningful contributions to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
