In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, known at Tarlac State University as AKAP (Actively Keeping Awareness and Positivity), the TSU Guidance and Counseling Unit invites all bona-fide TSU students to share a meaningful story of hope, resilience, healing, and overcoming life’s challenges by joining the STORYTELLING COMPETITION. 📖🖋️

There will be three (3) winners, one (1) for each category. Each winner will receive:

Theme: “Mental Health Matters: Stories of Hope, Healing, and Resilience”

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, known at Tarlac State University as AKAP (Actively Keeping Awareness and Positivity), the TSU Guidance and Counseling Unit invites all bona-fide TSU students to showcase their creativity and storytelling through a Short Film Contest that highlights the importance of mental health.

It’s time to prioritize mental health by listening, understanding, and supporting one another. 🍃

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, the TSU Guidance and Counseling Unit invites the entire TSU community to join AKAP: Actively Keeping Awareness & Positivity, a university-wide celebration happening from October 6–23, 2026.

With this year’s global theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” let us recognize the importance of sharing our stories, listening with compassion, and creating safe spaces where everyone feels heard and understood.

As part of this celebration, the TSU Guidance and Counseling Unit presents a three-part Mental Health Awareness Seminar Series that aims to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of mental health.

Together, let’s raise awareness, strengthen support, and turn real voices into real change. 🌱

PELE is a seminar designed to prepare students for the professional world after graduation. It discusses important topics such as workplace professionalism, employee rights and labor laws, career readiness, work ethics, and creating safe and respectful workplaces. The goal is to help students become more prepared and informed before entering employment.

Please be reminded that attendance in this seminar is 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐃 and serves as a prerequisite for the countersigning of your clearance prior to the release of your Transcript of Records (TOR), as prescribed under Office Memo No. 1, Series of 2026.

Guidance Counseling Unit (GCU) conducted a webinar "Hawak mo ang beat: Busy pero hindi burnout" in partnership with the College of Arts and Social Sciences - Student Council ( CASS - SC) on April 29 via Microsoft teams.

The webinar focused on effective time and stress management strategies, aiming to equip students particularly in preparation for the upcoming final examinations giving practical tools to stay productive without experiencing burnout.

In an interview with John Michael Bartolome, GCU Intern and one of the hosts of the event he shares what he felt being the host.

" For me syempre, being one of the host was both challenging and fulfilling. Syempre before the webinar, may kaba talaga, like iniisip mo kung magiging smooth ba yung flow or kung ma-eengage mo ba yung audience… lalo na online setup, hindi mo agad nakikita reactions nila," he said.
