For Engr. Jeric Barcena, ECT, choosing BS Electronics Engineering at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao became the foundation of the career and person he is today. From classrooms and competitions to leadership and professional growth, his story reflects how USLT helps shape future engineers beyond academics.

Here is his story as a proud Louisian Electronics Engineer now making his mark internationally.

"Choosing the BSECE program at University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao was truly a decision that helped me start right and ultimately led me to finish right.

Looking back, I can honestly say it played a huge role in shaping who I am today, not just as an Electronics Engineer, but as a person.

My time there went beyond academics. It was where I discovered my potential as a leader, got involved in extracurricular activities, and had the chance to join competitions that really pushed me out of my comfort zone. Those experiences taught me lessons about teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance that I still carry with me today.

Beyond that, it gave me a strong foundation in Electronics Engineering. The professors challenged us to give our best and prepared us for the realities of the profession. I honestly couldn’t imagine having a better career without the exceptional instruction I received there.

Everything I know and have achieved in my career started with the foundation I built at USL.

I can proudly say that USL will always be a meaningful part of my journey."

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao proudly celebrates the success of its newly licensed professional teachers in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

Remarkably, first-time takers in the Secondary Level recorded a 96% passing rate, while the institution posted a 68.57% overall passing rate, with a total of 24 successful passers.

Congratulations to the School of Education, Criminology, Arts and Psychology and the Teacher Education Department for this achievement!

JOINT POSITION PAPER ON THE PROPOSED GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM (GEC)

The Philippine Council of Mathematics Teacher Educators (MATHTED) Inc., the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines – Tertiary Level (MTAP-TL), and the Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) strongly urge CHED to retain a dedicated mathematics course in the proposed General Education Curriculum.

USLT produces new Electronics Engineers, Electronics Technicians

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) proudly celebrates its newly registered Electronics Engineers and Electronics Technicians for successfully passing the March 2026 Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination and Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination.

Significantly, USLT recorded an 83.33% passing rate in the Electronics Engineers licensure examination, surpassing the national passing rate of 61.62%. In the Electronics Technicians licensure examination, the University achieved an 80.00% passing rate, exceeding the national rate of 78.16%. Moreover, USLT attained the highest passing rate in the region.

The University commends its new engineers and technicians for their achievement and extends its appreciation to the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering (SACE) for its continued commitment to academic excellence and professional preparation.
