In a meaningful milestone for aspiring medical technologists, the College of Medical Technology of Brent Hospital and Colleges Inc. (BHCI) held its 12th Nameplate, 4th Lab Coat, and 7th Pinning Ceremony for the 3rd year Batch Asclepsius Vitalis and 4th year Batch Lab Sentinels. The event took place on September 19, 2025, at Valencia Hall, Palacio del Sur by the Marcian Group.

The ceremony marked the studentsโ€™ formal transition from academic learners to clinical practitioners. Families, faculty, and peers witnessed the occasion, which underscored both achievement and responsibility.

The program opened with a solemn procession of students, instructors, non-academic staff, and the guest speaker. Students entered the hall with a sense of readiness to take on the duties of future medical technologists. The invocation followed, leading into the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Zamboanga Hermosa, and the Brent Hymn.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Aljaser Hajibata, RMT, Level 4 Coordinator, emphasized the responsibility that comes with the white coat and the pin, urging students to wear them with integrity and commitment. A day earlier, on September 18, 2025, the pins and nameplates were blessed by Rev. Roda S. Sagwil at the BHCI Chapel, further preparing the students for the rite of passage.

The highlight of the program came during the pinning and donning of the lab coats, led by College Dean Ms. Ma. Erma P. Dormido, MSMT, and formally accepted by School Director Ms. Analyn V. Suenan, MN. With 74 candidates from the 3rd year and 20 from the 4th year, the moment they received their coats and pins brought visible emotion.

The white coat symbolized purity, service, and professionalism, while the pin stood as a badge of honor and a mark of dedication to the practice of medical technology. Together, these symbols affirmed the studentsโ€™ readiness to step into the clinical setting and uphold the values of their chosen profession.
