College of Liberal Arts | 2025 Highlights of Accomplishments
The College of Liberal Arts proudly reflects on a year marked by growth, excellence, and meaningful milestones.
The CLA was Established in 2025 to advance humanistic education, language scholarship, and cultural engagement in the institution.
One of the college’s major academic achievements this year is the granting of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by CHED to its flagship programs, Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies (BAELS) and Batsilyer ng Sining sa Filipino (BAFil), affirming the quality and relevance of CLA’s curricular offerings.
Faculty and students also brought pride to the college through numerous research and literary publications, including articles indexed in Scopus and a wide array of creative works published locally and nationally.
CLA further demonstrated its strong research culture through international paper presentations, notably at the 5th International Conference on Applied Linguistics and Language Education (ICALLE 2025), where CLA faculty not only presented research but also served in leadership roles as session chairs. These engagements, along with participation in national and regional conferences, highlight CLA’s active contribution to scholarly discourse.
Beyond academics, the college remained vibrant and student-centered through activities such as the Seminar and Roundtable Discussion on Currents and Trends in English Language Teaching, a Research Colloquium, the CLA–CTE Mini-Palaro, and participation in celebrations like World Teachers’ Day. CLA also takes pride in individual faculty achievements, including winning the Grand Prize in the Coconut Fest Photography Contest, showcasing excellence beyond the classroom.
In addition, the College actively joined institution-wide and regional engagements, including the ASEAN Celebration, underscoring CLA’s commitment to cultural awareness, regional cooperation, and global citizenship. As the College continues to grow from its foundation, these accomplishments reflect a shared dedication of faculty, students, and administrators to academic excellence, creative expression, and service to the wider community.
Padayon, CLA! Toward more milestones, scholarship, and service.
