BSPT LEVEL 1 STUDENTS ACQUIRE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT SKILLS THROUGH RED CROSS TRAINING 🩺❤️
On October 19, 2026, the BSPT Level 1 students underwent Basic Life Support (BLS) training led by the Philippine Red Cross – Zamboanga City Chapter. Ms. Veronica, PTRP, RPT, their PT 111 instructor, emphasized the importance of introducing Basic Life Support to students at an early stage, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate assistance to individuals who may require emergency medical care.
The training began with a lecture on the fundamentals of Basic Life Support, including general knowledge of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This was followed by a laboratory session where students performed CPR techniques for both adults and children.
The College of Physical Therapy – Brent Hospital and Colleges Incorporated remains committed to developing future physical therapists who are equipped not only with the core competencies of their profession but also with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
