University of sindh Lar campus hosted an awareness session regarding opportunities for graduates to be inducted as officers in Pakistan Navy.
BADIN, June 2, 2026, The University of Sindh Laar Campus Badin, in collaboration with the Pakistan Navy Recruitment & Selection Centre (PNR&SC), Hyderabad, successfully organized an interactive career building and awareness session aimed at guiding aspiring candidates interested in pursuing a career in the Pakistan Navy. The session, held at the campus, saw a strong turnout of aspirants bearing required qualification and students near the completion of their BS degrees, eager to learn about the recruitment process and diverse opportunities within the naval forces.
Commander Asif Raza from the Pakistan Navy Recruitment & Selection Centre (PNR&SC), Hyderabad, served as the keynote speaker. He delivered a comprehensive briefing on the Pakistan Navy’s structure, roles, and operational significance. Commander Asif Raza then elaborated on the step-by-step recruitment process for Short Service Commission, detailing the required qualifications and matching different posts to various BS degree disciplines. He strongly encouraged aspiring students to apply for positions advertised every six months across different naval branches.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio, Campus Coordinator of Laar Campus Badin, delivered the presidential remarks. He highlighted the importance of the blue economy on a global scale, offering historical references to underscore Pakistan’s potential in the maritime sector. Dr. Chandio urged students to seize the opportunity presented by the Navy and further announced that Laar Campus will organize such awareness sessions periodically for students nearing the completion of their BS degrees.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Khalil Rehman Bhatti on behalf of Laar Campus Badin. Dr. Bhatti expressed gratitude to Commander Asif Raza and the entire team from the Pakistan Navy Recruitment & Selection Centre (PNR&SC), Hyderabad. On 11 May 2026, the students of the B.Ed. (1.5 Years) Program at University of Sindh Laar Campus Badin successfully carried out their final semester project activities related to lesson planning and teaching practice. A total of 26 students participated in the program as part of their important academic project work.
During the activity, the students presented and demonstrated their lesson plans and delivered lectures in various government schools of Badin. Each student conducted classroom teaching with confidence, professional skills, and effective instructional techniques, reflecting their academic preparation and teaching abilities.
The entire program was conducted under the supervision of Sir Abdul Razzaque Khatti, Course Instructor, and Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio, Campus Coordinator.
Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio highly appreciated the performance, teaching skills, and dedication of the students. He also acknowledged and praised the sincere efforts and guidance of Sir Abdul Razzaque Khatti for successfully mentoring the students throughout the project activities.

Badin May 11, 2026. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio, Coordinator, University of Sindh Laar Campus, Badin, visited the ongoing Examination of first semester 2026 to review and monitor the examination process across various academic departments. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Chandio was accompanied by Dr. Khalil U Rehman Bhatti, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Dr. Abdul Qadir Patoli, Head of the Department of Commerce and Accounts & Finance; and Dr. Kirshan Kumar Lohana, Head of the Department of Computer Science.
The delegation visited examination halls of various departments and closely observed the arrangements and conduct of examinations. Prof. Dr. Chandio expressed satisfaction with the transparent, disciplined, and well-organized examination process. He appreciated the systematic seating plans, proper arrangements, and the dedicated efforts of factotums and supporting staff in ensuring a smooth examination environment. Prof. Dr. Chandio reiterated his confidence in the examination procedures being followed at the campus and emphasized the importance of maintaining academic integrity and discipline during examinations.
Considering the prevailing hot weather conditions, he advised students to stay hydrated by keeping drinking water with them in the examination blocks and encouraged them to remain focused on their studies for the remaining examination papers. The Campus Coordinator also appreciated the commitment and dedication of faculty members performing invigilation duties despite the hot weather and praised the supporting staff for their vigilance, cooperation, and attentive services in facilitating the smooth conduct of examinations.

University of Sindh Laar Campus organized a faculty training session on May 07, 2026 under the cascading Faculty Development Program initiated by the National Academy of Higher Education. The training session was aimed at enhancing teaching competencies and introducing innovative pedagogical approaches among faculty members.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Shah certified trainer NAHE HEC Islamabad and Assistant Professor department of Business Administration Laar Campus Badin . The session formally commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the participation of faculty members and Heads of Departments from various academic departments of the campus. During the session, Dr. Shah introduced participants to modern teaching methodologies and pedagogical techniques, including the flipped classroom concept, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and game-based learning approaches. He also highlighted effective classroom engagement strategies and emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive and student-friendly learning environment.
As part of the micro-teaching component of the training, faculty members including Ms. Sohni Rajar, Mr. Sabbir Chang, Mr. Muneer Ahmed Kumbhar, Mr. Shah Jahan Khatti, Mr. Arfat Ahmed, and Ms. Fahmida Rahimoon delivered presentations on assigned topics, demonstrating practical applications of modern teaching strategies.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio Coordinator Laar Campus Badin concluded the session and, in his remarks, he appreciated the active participation of faculty members and presenters. Department of Computer Science, University of Sindh Laar Campus Badin Hosts AI Exhibition
The Department of Computer Science at University of Sindh Laar Campus Badin successfully organized an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Exhibition, showcasing innovative projects developed by final-year students. The projects were completed under the supervision of Dr. Fauzia Talpur.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio, Coordinator of the campus, in the presence of Dr. Krishan Kumar Lohana, Head of the Department of Computer Science, along with faculty members of the department. Faculty members from various departments of the campus, as well as a large number of students, visited the exhibition and appreciated the AI-based projects presented by the Computer Science students. The showcased projects reflected the students’ technical skills, creativity, and understanding of emerging technologies. The primary objective of the event was to provide a platform for students to demonstrate their innovative ideas and to emphasize the growing significance of artificial intelligence in modern technological advancements.
In the end Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio appreciated the efforts of Computer Science faculty and students for organizing such a meaningful exhibition and awarded Certificates of Appreciation to the students in recognition of their dedication, creativity, and active participation.

The team members of the Students’ Financial Aid Office (SFAO), Jamshoro, successfully conducted interviews for the Need-cum-Merit Scholarship Session 2026 on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the University of Sindh, Laar Campus Badin.
A total of 108 students were shortlisted for the interview process, out of which 87 candidates appeared, while 21 remained absent. The interviews were conducted in a transparent and merit-based manner to ensure that financial assistance is awarded to the most deserving and eligible students.
Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio, Campus Coordinator appreciated the efforts of the SFAO Jamshoro team for their excellent coordination and for making well-organized and smooth arrangements for the interview process.
