Postdoctoral Research of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naveed Aslam Malghani

Dr. Malghani, General Secretary of PPS, has commenced a prestigious 12-month postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, under the supervision of Prof. Yule Liu. The project, titled "Exploring the Potential of RNA Interference (RNAi) Technology for Begomovirus Control," focuses on developing innovative RNAi-based strategies to manage begomovirusesโ€”plant pathogens causing major crop losses globally. This fellowship is funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan under its international postdoctoral program. Prior to this, Dr. Malghani served as Chairperson of the Department of Plant Pathology at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
