A delegation from the Department of Social Work The Islamia University of Bahawalpur participated in the 3rd National Conference held at the University of Malakand on the theme:“Contextualizing Social Sciences for Inclusive, Resilient & Sustainable Development: Challenges & Opportunities from Peripheries.”
The delegation included Prof. Dr. Asif Ranjha (Chairman, Department of Social Work), Dr. Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Rana Amir Shahzad (PhD Scholar) and Sohail Raza.
During the visit, the delegation met Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmad at his office and also visited the Department of Social Work, where they held productive discussion with Dr. Sajjad Ahmad, Dr. Hamid Alam, Dr. Zakir, Dr. Farman, and Dr. Ashfaq.
Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha and Dr. Mansoor Ali Shah delivered keynote talks at the conference, which were highly appreciated by the participants.
The Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude for the delegation's participation and extended his best wishes.

Village Training – Rural Community Development

Village training on Rural Community Development has begun, giving students a chance to understand real village life and community needs.
The training is supervised by Dr. Syed Mansoor Ali Shah (Assistant Professor). Specual Thanks to Chairman Department of Social Work The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Asif Ranjha for this valuable initiative, which is helping students move beyond classroom learning and gain practical experience in the field.

In the coming days, students will conduct baseline surveys and needs-based assessments, and then work closely with the local community.
